We noticed an immediate difference in our heating bill when we installed this in our attic. Our attic door was not properly sealing and we had no idea of the immense heat transfer that goes up. After installing this we notice that our heat turns on less frequently. We highly recommend this product...it works!!

So glad our handyman recommended this product. It keeps the house insulated so much better, especially since the attic door doesn’t really close flush. Our handyman did the installation while he was here working on other things, but it looked easy enough with just a staple gun. Very easy to zipper open and close. Wish we had done it sooner!

I heard good things about these tents so I decided to try it. It was easy enough to install. All you need is double sided tape, aluminum tape and a staple gun. All not included. I had installed in less than an hour. Energy bills fluctuate and you're at the whim of nature so calculating energy savings for this item is difficult. The one thing I can say is the area around my attic pull-down is warmer or cooler than before. Theres no draft to come through. It zippers closed nicely. I should have taken temp readings to see what difference it made but I didnt. Still, for the price, any improvement is good. The unit is durable, easy to install and the full opening doesn't restrict attic access.

I noticed a very significant improvement after installing this, I'm in Houston and it's a heatwave, so I needed something for both my house and my mother's house. (I bought 2 of these at once)I'm not sure about it's durability (It's plastic after all), but it seems OK.The zipper....I'm not sure about. But if you don't go up in the attic constantly it's probably OK.It is very important to properly install it.I used double sided duct tape and staples.Make sure you remove any staples/nails that are sticking out (or pound them flush with a hammer).Wipe it down to get rid of any dust that would prevent your tape from sticking.Unfold it, have it ready ABOVE the opening.Put the tape all the way around, make sure to press it onto the sides and remove the plastic covering the outer part of the tape.(I had trouble removing the plastic on my tape because of the heat so I had to put it in the refrigerator to cool it off a bit first).Carefully line up the bottom of the cover with the bottom of the tape and press it tight. Do that all the way around.In the CLOTH part (the black edge around the bottom), staple to the sides. (I would avoid stapling directly into the plastic)So with the double sided tape I didn't have to use extra duct tape around the bottom to seal it.Hope this helps someone (the instructions they include are not very precise).

The attic door insulation cover appears to be of very good quality. It was delivered fast, easy to install and fits. I am optimistic that it will work as described.

I put this project off for too many years! I was able to install this quite easily with a stapler and some insulating tape. To think I have let all my heat go up the attic opening for so many years. Quality is decent - I don't expect any tears from normal use for many years.

Very easy to install. Being that my furnace has been running for several days the house was warm. While installing I could feel the heat being trapped. Expecting to see reduced gas usage.
