Damaged during shipping; icing not strong enough to hold together the large pieces
Do not buy this item. It is not properly packaged for shipment and several pieces were significantly damaged. Additionally, the icing is not strong enough to hold the large pieces together, so after we attempted to put it together the entire house collapsed. We salvaged the broken pieces and reconstructed with our own icing (5 cups confectioner sugar and 2 egg whites). This is a significant expense vs others on the market. Absolutely NOT worth the money or effort.

Hated It
Definitely would not buy this product again. Multiple gingerbread pieces were broken. There was not enough icing to put everything together or decorate. The candy bag was broken open and loose in the box. Overall, terrible experience.

Do NOT order this product.
The product arrived completely broken. Three of the large pieces had multiple breaks and, although we tried to repair them as the product was unreturnable after we opened it, it was impossible to repair. $45 wasted. Do NOT order this product. I only gave it one star because all the pieces were in the box.

Nice house, poor packing/shipping
House was cute and there were enough decorations but insufficient packaging so that multiple pieces arrived broken

Item Arrived Broken
Several pieces were broken and not enough frosting or candy to configure. Worst box kit I have ever worked with.

Post-Earthquake Gingerbread Mansion
Why did I buy a nearly $50 gingerbread house with a low rating? I have asked myself this question many times today. Attribute it to optimism, delusion, or the fact that my son reeeeeaaaaalllly wanted a LARGE gingerbread house unlike the tiny ones we typically find each year in the store. Our family has had a rough year and I succumbed to the pressure. Big mistake.Theoretically when CVS or Giant sells a gingerbread house they didn't make it onsite in the store. So somehow it is possible to transport this thing to its final destination without shattering it into a million pieces. But this product I ordered online did not fare so well. It looks like a gingerbread house that has been through a magnitude 9 earthquake.Determined to proceed, we have used up all the icing trying to glue together the broken pieces. We now need to buy some more icing to finish this off by gluing the roof on and decorating it. It is surprisingly difficult to find just icing (no house) and it seems to be sold in giant bags rather than squeeze tubes, with an average delivery time of a week. This is totally what I needed to destress the holidays. FML.Like a luxurious house built right on the San Andreas fault with zero insurance....this was a fool-hardy purchase. Don't make my mistake.
