All chocolate comes from the cacao beans (or seeds if you prefer) from the Theobroma cacao tree.The truth is, the nomenclature of cacao vs. cocoa can be used interchangeably. FDA guidelines make no quantifiable distinction between the two terms, and do allow manufacturers to process the cacao beans themselves with heat (i.e. roasting) while retaining the descriptor as "Cacao" (See; Code of Federal Regulations: Title 21 - Chapter 1, Sub-chapter B, Sec. 163.110 entitled "CACAO PRODUCTS", Line (2)). It is important to note here though, we do not alkalize our product!Aside from that, we do also advertise it in our listing title as "Organic Cacao Powder - Cocoa Powder (15 Oz / 85 Servings)" to further impress that the nomenclature is somewhat superfluous."'

This is one of the most delicious cacao powders I have tried! I love it, and I just received my second order recently, and it is just as awesome as the first time I ordered. When I first opened the bag, I could smell how fresh and pure this cacao is. It is ground down into a nice, fine texture, and mixes well into anything I choose to add it to. I have tried lots of different cacao powders over the years, and this is truly one of the best. I am sticking with this brand for now, because I know I am getting a good quality product at a good price.

For the price, I haven't found anything per ounce as affordable for such pure rich cacao.From their website: Boost your energy, improve mood, and slow aging. I purchased this to make my own hot chocolate for my kids. Easier than I expected. Tasty and super rich. Superwell offered me a FREE Superwell 100% Organic Pure Cocoa Powder from Amazon.com. Really taste great. I pour it over a bowl of bananas, Strawberries and jello. Rich dark chocolate flavor. I usually don't buy organic. I tried the organic way with our blackberries. Got those Japanese beetle traps. Even made super sized ones with 5 gallon buckets. Had all kinds of dead smelling Japanese beetles. To many! It was so sickening trying to pick berries. For me i would rather eat berries that are bug free. Not berries covered with bugs chewing and pooping on them. Thank you very much for #SuperwellSuperfoods and #Amazon. Really love the taste of #Superwell 100% Organic Pure Cocoa Powder.

This product is ok not super great. If you're new to Cacao, you should perform the Cacao test. The Cacao test reveals how organic and refined the product actually is. Mix 1 teaspoon full of Cacao powder in a teacup of hot water. Stir until the Cacao powder is fully mixed. Now look carefully at the surface of the Cacao tea, you should see deposits of oil floating on the surface (healthy fats). Thicker and more visible oil deposits would indicate that the product is less refined and contain all the good nutrients. With this product the oil deposits were hardly visible.

I am already obsessed with this cocao. I recently found out I was lactose and gluten intolerant but, I needed to be able to flavor things without the massive amounts of sugars like preface syrups and flavored powders have.I started making my own chocolate milk and coffee creamer with almond milk/flax milk a little bit of Splenda (or whatever sugar alternative) and less than a spoonful of cacao does the trick!! Plus, making it myself I know what I’m injesting and in its pure form cacao is a good rich in antioxidants (good for me powder)!!!

I was excited to give this a try for my 5 year old who loves chocolate milk and hot cocoa . She loves other healthy chocolates like the syrup from Choczero or the choczero healthy chocolate bars but those taste good because they use monk fruit to sweeten yet are still healthy . She likes the idea of eating healthy as she sees me and her dad do our best to eat healthy and offer healthy foods but I will admit I have a sweet tooth and so does she .Upon opening the bag, the smell let me know this may be different . It smelled bitter and not appetizing but I gave it a shot . I had to throw out the chocolate milk . It tasted so bitter and gross . This is definitely not kid approved . I couldn’t drink it either . My husband added some to his granola and coconut milk and said it was ok. He also tried with coffee and said it worked for him but he is a little less sensitive to bad tasting food . I’m hoping he will use this package but I won’t be reordering . Epic fail .
