Roland Foods Course Grain Yellow Polenta from Italy, 5 Lb Bag

My mom and dad were born in northern italy and this was a winter staple as i was growing up! Polenta w/rabbit, chicken or just a good meat sauce was delicious. I do remember having to stand at the stove on stirring duty, but this polenta cooks quickly and has the consistency i remember. I will order again!

Came in 5lb size. Use it a lot and this size was perfect. Good flavor.

I received a product that was open and half empty! I could see the polenta sticking to the adhesive of the tape and when I opened the box the first bag was covered with polenta that fell on my counter top and floor. The beef based was covered as well and when I picked up the second bag of polenta, the top limply fell over wasting more of the product in the box. I am greatly disappointed!

It's a great price, however, I was not happy to find that it was quick cooking polenta. Perhaps I read the product info wrong, but if I had known, I wouldn't have purchased quick cooking polenta...just not the same.

Very nice old fashioned flavor, but not the slow-cooking kind. Everything was handled very quickly and I had my product right away!

This is my first experience with the product and I definitely like it: coarse, to accept the sauce and real 5 minutes cooking time.To avoid infestation from weevils, I removed the product from the bag and placed in sealed containers in the freezer section of my refrigerator.

This is good, I make it in the rice cooker with sea salt and coconut oil added to it. (Note? You hand to stir every 5 to 10 mins, not just let it go like you do with rice) One reason I like this is because it's a produce of Italy and Italy has banned GMO corn, so this is GMO free at a great price! Can't beat it!

Embarassingly easy to cook. Hard to ruin. Tastes great. Can make it firm or soft by varying the amount of water. Gives an interesting, rustic twist to an otherwise lackluster entree. And, it's good, wholesome, healthy food.
