Worked great and was easy to use.

Bought this to check RPMs on pump motors. Hooked it up to the spark plug wire, and cranked up the motor and selected RPM and there it was. Easy to read easy to hook up and gave me the information I needed to diagnose and issue I was having and set the throttle to the correct RPM. Handy handy tool to have if you are working on small engines.

Pros: the price was right. Seems accurate compared to the existing tool I have.Cons: it's a use until the battery runs out and throw away. Its suppose to last several years though.Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Ordered This for my 12-1/2 hp John Deere tractor. JD tech manual says to set all your settings with a 6mm bolt in the throttle linkage. Basically it sets everything at wide open throttle. If I set on 1P2R single cylinder 4 stroke engine which the FB460V Kawasaki engine is, tech manual says set to 3,350 rpm, this tach is showing 5500 rpm, that would throw the piston threw the head. If is set it on 1p1r basic 2 stroke setting it actually reads very close, 1250 at idle and 3,200 at wot. I complained the first time around and they sent me a new replacement right away. Exactly the same results. I should have just bout a wireless model to set it and forget it. At least I have an idea I am always in the same range but if you are looking for accuracy this model is not it.I usually don’t write long feedback like this but I figured since I did all the research maybe it will steer someone else to another brand/model that is accurate. With a touchless tach, you have to hold it near the spark plug. It occupies your hand. This one clamps on the plug wire, freeing up your hand and allowing the tach to be further from the equipment. Works great.

Cant change the battery! Cant turn it off! Doesn't read accurately or consistently . . . even after you mess around and find the correct range to set it to! The builder saw my previous poor review and refunded my money without my asking. That was nice but an "off" switch on the unit would be better!

Bought this to adjust the carb on a classic car with no tach built in.Works perfectly and is small enough to shove in my tool box. Very convenient size and easy to read display.

Works well enough for setting idle speed on engines without tachometers, but unfortunately doesn't survive a 2' drop to the floor.

The thing works great but there's no way to turn it off wich make me wonder how long the battery's gonna last. Otherwise it is as simple as it gets!

Back is sealed so you can’t change the battery, and it’s always on. It’s a disposable unit, don’t waste your money. There is way better units out there for the price.

It reads in increments of ten.
