Smooth
This ice cream came out smooth and tasty. The powder dissolves completely in water, so you don't get "grit" or any real texture to it. It's sweet without being overly-artificial tasting. And I will never use up the whole bag... there's so much here that it's more for a party/commercial setting than just for two people at home who like to make ice cream every now and then in the summer! A good pick.

Can also be used as to make drinks
This product is meant to be used as a flavoring for ice cream or sorbet or gelato. I opted to use it for making a cantaloupe-flavored drink. I have other powdered flavoring products similar to this that I use for making drinks, so I figured that despite its intended purpose, it should work. I took a small scoop and mixed it with milk. It took a bit to fully dissolve. I think if I had put it in a mixer cup and shaken it (like you would with a protein powder), it would have broken up more readily. At any rate, I was able to get it to dissolve enough to get a good feel for the flavor and resulting texture. It is very similar, both in texture and flavor, to some Honeydew Bubble Tea drink mix that I have. The powders are very similar in appearance, though this one results in a light orange color, the other in a light green color. Mixed with milk, the drinks have a bit of creaminess to them, and they have a light, sweet flavor reminiscent of melon, but I’m not sure that I would say that one distinctly tastes like cantaloupe and the other like honeydew.Used in this way, I would say that it’s all right. It works. I’m just not sure that this particular flavor is the best for this application. I’m sure you could mix it with a smoothie, though the melon flavor might not be strong enough to stand up to other things. I am curious to see how this would taste as a frozen dessert, but I don’t currently have an ice cream maker to try that out. I have a feeling, though, that as a drink, something like the lemon or limoncello might be better. The coconut might work in some sort of a pina colada drink.

Delicious Tangy Flavor For Sorbet, Gelato, or Ice Cream (5- Stars)
I used this dry mix to make ice cream in my Whynter ice cream maker, and the result was delicious. The main problem for home use is that each bag is supposed to be mixed with one gallon of milk, much more than can fit in the average home machine. I measured the volume of one entire pouch, did the math, and came up with a ratio that worked perfectly the first time I tried it. Just mix in a generous 1/3 cup of mix per 1 cup of liquid. Because I made ice cream (instead of gelato), I combined a generous 1 1/3 cup mix, 2 cups whole milk, and 2 cups heavy cream. The limoncello flavor is bright and tangy, even in ice cream, and has excellent lemon flavor. Using a 50/50 ratio of whole milk to cream, the ice cream is creamy, smooth, and without any off-tastes or weird mouthfeel. The mix does contain stabilizers, and I've learned over the years that ice cream just doesn't taste or feel as creamy without some kind of thickener and/or stabiizer. (I use tapioca starch in my own recipes.) Don't be dissuaded from the extra ingredients -- they help the success of the sorbet/gelato/ice cream. You want to be able to keep it in your freezer for more than 24 hours without losing texture, and you want it to be free of ice crystals and grainy texture.I would buy this mix without hesitation in the future. One note, though: One of my packages arrived split and spilling inside the sealed box. This indicates a possible packaging issue. A little loss is acceptable; a huge loss would be reason for a refund.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Delicious, Fruity Homemade Gelato or Ice Cream!
I am an ice cream lover, but I often lack the time to truly make it from scratch. Therefore, I was delighted to find a mix that was easy to use and created a fruity, flavorful gelato or ice cream (I made gelato) with very few added ingredients that I already had on hand.I cut the recipe down, as I am making this for home use, not commercial. However, it seemed just as easy as making the full batch. We have an ice cream maker that we've used for years, and it was very simple to blend the ingredients together to make the perfect blend of creamy, delicious gelato. Then, I froze it in a container and dug into the fully set, frozen treat. I received the green apple flavor, and it is just what I would have hoped for in a green apple dessert - the perfect amount of sweet and a little tang.I recommend giving this mix a try - it's a big hit here!

Antico Eremo Soft Serve & Ice Cream Mix, Limoncello flavor, 2 Pack, too yummy, nice & cold.
This limoncello flavor ice cream/gelato mix from Antico Eremo is absolutely perfect for the hot weather we've been having. Each pack contains 2.2 lbs of dry mix that will make lots of ice cream. You combine the mix with milk and cream, put it an ice cream maker, turn the machine on, and quite soon, you have just about perfect ice cream. It will need to rest in the freezer for a little while but then it's TREAT time. It has a lovely lemon flavor.Another reviewer, Debbie Lee, went to the trouble of calculating the proportions of mix to milk and cream to prepare smaller amounts than the entire bag. Thanks to her, we don't have to strain our brains to make a reasonable amount. Her calculation is "Just mix in a generous 1/3 cup of mix per 1 cup of liquid." I tried her calculation and it worked perfectly for me. Again, thank you to Debbie Lee.My family loves this ice cream and so do I. This mix has been a boon to me and I recommend it to every ice cream lover, this flavor or another.
