Is there an App that needs to be downloaded for Bluetooth remote to work ?

It has a remote control in the box but it doesn't work very well. Lots of missed shots no matter how hard you press the button. Dissapointing.

Does it has a shoe mount on top for microphone?

It is possible....If the foot fits...so to speak. A very useful item...
