Highly recommended
This book has great tips with great humour. A very inspiring and honest read I can't wait to get started.

One of the better books on becoming a VO artist.
Not a bad book. Useful and comprehensive. May benefit from updating in parts.

Thin book with lots of padding and waffle
I cannot understand why this book is so highly reviewed. It's barely a book at less than a 100 pages of double spaced text. There are maybe a few nuggets of information but very little detail. For example, the section on your recording area it reads "Quiet, Quiet Quiet" written over three lines. That's the level of detail you get here.On a few occasions ,for example on microphones, you are advised to "do your own research". I thought that was the point of buying this book! Very little information on what equipment you need beyond that you need a non USB mic and an interface. What do I need from a mic? what specs am I looking for etc?The author is also US based so several paragraphs about unionised work and taxes don't apply outside of the US.The author does advise that you read other books on the topic of voice overs and this is very good advice as you might actually learn some details about the craft. I felt very short changed on buying this book.
