Good beginner bow, but you get what you pay for... (4 Stars for Bow Quality, but that's all)
The bow itself seems well made and accurate, but the included string, while well waxed, had to be replaced very soon after purchase. The replacement string (from a separate company, as this company sells almost no replacement supplies) didn't have any issues with wearing out as quickly as the original string. The riser (handle) for the bow is about 23" and polished solid wood, and it comes fitted with mounting holes for some add-ons (button, balance and sights). It is a take down bow (since it is rather tall when put together) meaning that the limbs (upper and lower portion of the bow) fit into the handle and are held in place with large hand-turn screws. The limbs I received fit the riser pockets well and were held in place tightly, but were not obviously marked with front/rear facing indicators. The way to determine how the limb fit in the pocket seems to be soley by tip curve and limb string groove. The limbs for this bow seem to be layered composite wood (and -- fiberglass?). Lower limb is marked with poundage but is not otherwise indicated to be the lower limb (other than by an almost negligible difference in length, obviously).Only the bow (risers and limbs) and the pre-waxed string are included with the product. There is no extra string included. Likewise, you will NEED to buy some sort of rest mechanism (bear hair, or perhaps a soft plastic rest) as this is not included either. Lastly there are NO other accessories, either, including no bow stringer, no shooting glove or arm guard, no quiver, no arrows nor any tools (e.g. bow square, nocking points, nocking pliers, etc). Also, while technically not about the bow, the official website is not great and has almost zero information about this product. The company doesn't provide any details about limb fitting, and when asked by email, responded that they don't do any sort of alternate limb testing or conform to any sort of limb standard. The company itself does not sell replacement (e.g. higher poundage) limbs for this line of bow, only their crossbows and those limbs are NOT compatible with this bow.So you better make sure you know what poundage you need (#20 is fine for most beginners). This bow is likely a one-shot deal (e.g. it gets damaged or you wish to move on, you likely be buying a new bow). The upshot is that it is a good basic beginner bow, with quality construction in the riser and limbs, but don't expect the level of quality, extras and support you might get buying a more expensive product.
