These clippers are very sharp, and very easy to use. I have used the smaller clipper for 3 1/2 years, and it was still sharp when the spring broke. I guess that's a pretty good lifespan, so I didn't mark them down for it, just ordered a new set. Not a negative, just a heads-up: these are not made to be carried in a pocket or, probably, a purse because they don't fold down like the more conventional design.

I honestly didn't expect much from these, but I am so tired to trying to cut my finger nails and pushing and pushing only to lightly crease or partially cut through my nail with the usual, drug store nail clippers! No, I don't have any fungus in my finger nails, I actually asked my doctor that because of the hard time I have clipping them! So, I didn't actually need the larger opening, I just needed clippers that would cut easily through my nails. These fit the bill wonderfully! They cut my nails like a hot knife through butter! They're easy to hold, easy to use, I don't need to use brute force to trim my nails anymore! And I really like the packaging, I'm keeping my clippers in their original case, and it's attractive, easy to open, easy to store, and easy to find when needed.Now, the toe nail clippers. I am currently on meds to get rid of nail fungus on my toe nails, so I do have thickened nails. And my large and baby toes have nails that are thick enough that it's very hard to get them to fit into the normal large clippers, they just don't open quite wide enough. (And YES, thickened nails are a sign of nail fungus, so talk to your doctor about it!) ANYway, once I would manage to get my nail into the clipper, it took all my strength to try to actually clip the nail, so I thought these would make the process a little easier. They didn't. They made it A LOT easier! Again, they clip through my nails like a hot knife through butter, I honestly couldn't believe how easy it was to trim my nails! It was so easy that I had to use care not to cut them too short, or to cut into my cuticle! I am very pleased with these clippers, and if I should ever need to replace them, I intend to replace with the identical item. Two thumbs up, and two big toes up for these, they are priced very reasonably and do exactly what they're suppose to do, easily!

I ordered this set on a chance that they were equal to the Premax clippers I bought 2 years ago. Sure enough they are the same at 1/3rd the price. Premax was 29.95 for the large clipper by itself. This set was 13.95 for large, small & adequate nail file. I was $60 into the Premax for similar setup.Arrived as promise. Pleasantly surprised.These are the best fingernail trimmers made. I have a permanent nerve injury to my right hand which makes using inferior products problematic.I recommend when not using them to flip the magnetic spring back to the storage position. Last pair I had fell from my medicine chest with the spring engaged and broke one of the arms off. Glad to find an affordable equivalent (likely the same manufacturer) affordable alternative.Love Amazon for making this easy to find.

These clippers were very sharp. Seem sturdy and well made.

I have used them, and honestly i don't see much benefit to this style over the classic levered tweezer design. these actually take more getting used to since both jaws move when pressing the handles together. Nothin here prompted me to want to throw my old clippers out in favor of these new ones. they are ok, they look cool, the do work, and seem very durable (though durability was never an issue for me with nail clippers)bottom line, they are pretty good. if you were going to get new clippers any way, yea, give em a shot. but honestly, its not really a huge "upgrade" over the classic style in my opinion.

Wow! These nail clippers are amazingly strong and sharp. I like the holes in the grip: my fingers won't slip, which could be dangerous because like I said, these things are sharp. I also like the wide open jaws and the spring mechanism that when flipped over activates the clipping (after each use I flip it back over for storage.) The little nail file works okay, but the edges are not part of the file (so I can't file everything). No matter, the clippers are what I was looking for.I especially like how they can actually snip a hang nail closer to the finger than any other clippers I've ever used.

These are well made and should last a very long time. Easy to use on large and thick toenails and the small trimmers are great for finger nails and small toenails. Small file works well also. Make sure to take off the protective tape on the file. Small storage box is handy. The blades are VERY sharp. Be careful. The mechanics of the trimmers and the sharpness of the blades makes them easy for someone like me, with arthritic hands and fingers, to easily trim thick nails. Great and useful product.

Really nice little set that comes in a tin case. Took a moment to figure out how to get the clippers to work. There is a little tab that you flip over to make the clippers springy. Flip it back for flat storage in the case.Once I figured out they were not defective they were easy to use. Nice and sharp. Most likely the sharpest clippers I have had. Not sure about the longevity. The little flip thing to make it springly looks kind of flimsy to me. For the price I would expect a pair of clippers to last years.We will have to wait and see how durable they are.

This was the second set I bought. The first one was awesome. This one is not as sharp as the other one was. So there is a inconsistency of quality. Maybe it’s hard to see from the pictures but there is not a true sharp edge on these clippers, but there was on the first set that I bought. I do like the file. It works really well in both sets I bought. I also like how you can open up the clippers wide to clean them out.I bought a second set to use when I was not at home. I was surprised that the second set was not as good as the first.

Comes nicely curated in a little metal tin and soft foam to keep the two clippers and the file neat and keep them from banging and chipping the nice black metal finish on the pieces. The wide opening jaws and the absence of a post in the middle like other clippers make clipping long nails a breeze and these come very sharp. Incredibly impressed by how well they work, no crushing, clean cuts, and effortless operation once the little spring tab is flipped to the right side. Worth noting that the file has a protective layer that needs to be removed or else no material will get removed... don't be like me.No cons to speak of other than maybe cost, but it comes nicely packaged and based on my experience, this set is worth the premium. The extra step of flipping the spring steel is similar to other clippers so won't really call it a con... just that it is different.Overall, can't recommend these enough if you're willing to pay a bit of a premium. Simply stated, these make the chore of clipping nails almost enjoyable and that's high praise for any tool.

Finally able to trim fingernails without a struggle. Arthritis in hands, difficult, especially with left hand to use regular over the counter, run of mill clippers, the kind everybody has in their homes. Nice looking pair with the black finish but the container tin they arrive in is a bit over the top. Could have reduced the price a bit and just sent a regular holder for kit. But over all feels sturdy and quite sharp cutting edges.

For someone with large hands the toe nail clippers are still small and not particularly more effective than other off-the-shelf clippers. There is also equal difficulty to see the nail surface due to the size of the cutting edge of the clippers. It is overall marginally improved over traditional regular sized clippers. The cutting edges are despite other issues are very good.
