Perfect for my needs!
I've been using this coffee grinder for several days, and I am so impressed with its features. I use 2 different grind settings (for Turkish coffee and French Press), and it is very convenient because I can adjust the coarseness easily. The grinds are uniform, the coffee smell and taste are fantastic.I like that the handle screws onto the top and it doesn't fall off.Overall, feels like a quality product, and it's perfect for my needs.

For a manual grinder, it's not too bad.
It's a great grinder if you use it for maybe 1-3 cups worth, but anything past that and you'll be spending more time grinding it than drinking it.The only con I've seen so far is the plastic cup that catches the grind. It has no lock so if you're holding it wrong while you're grinding, there's a chance it'll spill.I love the control for the grinds though. I just wish the cup was a lil more secure.

It is difficult to disassemble to clean and reassemble after cleaning
I like the fact that I can select the size ground I want. When it functions well, it is great, but it can bind up when trying to grind the beans by hand. However, I have not found an electric grinder that matches this one for quality.

Will ruin your morning
The top will hold about 45g of beans, barely enough for a 2 cup pour over. The bottom only holds half of that. So you have to pour out the grounds half way before you can finish grinding it all. The bottom container is designed so that only half of it can hold grounds and the rest is wasted space. Also since it is not secured it will fall out and drop your grounds all over your floor and ruin your morning. You have to hold it in place near the bottom while grinding which is not the optimal place to hold it since you are cranking at the top of the grinder.Skip this.. the fulfillment of grinding your own beans is completely ruined by having to vacuum up your coffee grounds at the crack of dawn. i'm getting an electric one.

Great coffee mill!
Great coffee mill!I always liked freshly ground coffee and now I like manually ground coffee, somehow it feels more satisfying than when using an electric grinder (and the grinds are more uniform which is so important for a really good brew).I use this grinder every day, it's easy to fill and grip, easy to know what coarseness setting is used. Highly recommended.

Not terrible
I have been using this for ~3 years on and off - initially every few days, and then mostly on weekends.I didn't have an espresso machine till recently - so I would grind for either pour-over or for use with Keurig reusable filter. For that purpose this filter has worked well. The burr is from a different company. The grinder itself is based on Hario's slim grinder, but with the coarseness setting on the outside, and numbered, which is definitely better than the hario.I recently got into espresso, and I am not sure this makes a good grind for espresso. That would be the one big limitation. The grinds are also not super even, but I guess for the price, some variation is expected.Overall pretty decent. Can have better for slightly more money.

Ok, while it lasted
I used this hand grinder for 13 grams of coffee once a day for 14 months. It performed fairly well for my pour-over needs. I found it very easy to grind 13 grams in less than two leisurely minutes, and I am no youngster. I should note that my coffee preference is dark roast (specifically Colectivo Dark Sumatra). Dark beans are significantly easier to grind by hand, as I confirmed when I accidentally purchased medium roast beans, which were torturous to grind (and drink). Other pros of this machine are the low cost, and the numerical grind size guide on the waist of the grinder. Cons of this machine are the somewhat fiddly disassembly for cleaning, and the very loose grounds catch basin which falls off easily. After a few days of sub-par coffee recently, I noticed the grind was very inconsistent in size. This morning, I disassembled the grinder to clean it, hoping that would improve matters. Halfway through the disassembly, I found the nut had melded permanently to the grinding mechanism. I spent about 45 minutes trying to dislodge it to no avail. Even though this grinder had a short life, I did find that I rather enjoyed grinding the beans every morning and it produced a superior cup of joe. So, I have ordered a different hand grinder for about triple the cost of this one; fingers crossed.
