I upgrade my 75-pound golden retriever's bed from a so-called "orthopedic foam" bed (Furhaven) to this real memory foam bed (Friends Forever)! Boy oh boy, the difference is day and night - the memory foam is so supportive and does not sink. It definitely worths the price tag. I got the size XL, so my dog can stretch out in all directions. She loves to rest her head on the bolsters like a pillow. This bed is made with a high-quality memory foam (feels like my own memory foam mattress) and has very little odor when I first unpacked it. The bed comes with a liner that seems to be water-resistant. The fabric of the liner is slippery, so it helps the memory foam to be easily inserted into the main bed lounge frame. The fabric of the outside bed cover is suede, which makes it 10 times easier to clean than the fleece surface.UPDATE: Had this cover for more than a year and had to clean it few times since my dog has a flea problem. The first two wash were fine. But the backing of the bed started to come off as of wash 3. The backing was meant for minimizing the movement of the bed, and they were attached to the bottom of the bed. By the 3rd wash, they were coming off so bad and they were everywhere in the washer and in the dryer. It is a good bed, but I wish for the price I paid for it, it is better than merely 3 washes.

First purchased the bed in a large for my 72 lb. Shepherd/Malamute mix. He is old with arthritis and neurological damage on his back leg. Jumping on furniture is no longer an option for him and his beds were soft, but not supported enough. It took him a bit to take to the bed, but it has now become his daytime napping bed. But it was just a little small and he cannot curl up anymore. So I got him another one in extra large. It’s perfect. The 3-sided bolsters give him that secure feeling but has large opening for easier access.There is a smell when you first get it, which even the dog didn’t like. But it does dissipate in about a week or so. The fabric is nice. Spot cleans easily enough and the bed can be vacuumed with a low suction setting. My pooch sheds a lot so I usually keep a throw on his beds for easier cleaning.I have purchased many dog beds over the years for more money that really looked great. This one is not fancy, but still looks good and gives my dog the comfort he needs. It gets a 4 for softness because it has enough density to keep the dogs bones and joints off the floor. So if you are looking for super soft, this isn’t it.

I just got this bed, so I will update the review later to describe how it wears over time. I bought this to replace a bed with bolster that I bought from Costco.The mattress is awesome! This bed is better than my bed. It’s not super thick, but it’s definitely memory foam. My dog likes it (although he is not super picky). It is very easy to assemble, unlike some other beds I’ve purchase. You unroll the memory foam, put it in a plastic-type case and then slide that into the bed. Everything seems quality (zippers, the water resistant case, etc.). The fabric is like a micro-suede. The size is great. I bought the x-large and I have a big yellow lab (96 lbs) and as you can see, he has a giant cone on and has room to spare. He likes to be enclosed so the bolsters most of the way around with a small opening is nice.Now for the cons. I took a star off for the bolsters. They seem cheap because they bulge in places - sort of like over stuffed with a cheap stuffing. At this price point, I expect more. Possibly even memory foam bolsters.Overall, I think it’s a great bed for a large breed dog to protect their joints and elbows from getting scraped. Also a nice comfy place of their own.

My dog is almost 14 and has severe arthritis. It's been difficult finding a bed with enough support to keep him comfortable. He LOVES this bed and now finally sleeps comfortably. I bought a second one and barely got it set up before he started climbing into it. It's definitely worth the money. I actually bought a third one so he has multiple places to sleep throughout the house. The sides are firm enough to hold their shape and support his neck if he chooses to use it as a pillow. When he curls up, it's like a big hug. Can't say enough good things about it!

I love this bed so much! The cream color looks so good in our living room! Although a darker color might be better if your dog gets dirty easily as the dirt is easy to see. Haven't cleaned it yet- just got it- but it looks like it'll be easy to clean. The bed is HUGE and my kids will lay on it next to my dog. The smaller size was a bit too small so wish they had one in the middle. My dog hasn't laid on it a lot, but that's partly because its been so hot so she prefers the floor. Love it so much!!

I have had this dog bed for a little over a month and just washed it for the first time. It was easy to wash and dry and came out soft and feeling like suede. Everything, and I mean everything, has a zippered cover - even the water resistant inner covers on the bolster and the memory foam base. And it's bigger than you think. I ordered small for my 15 pound dog and there's plenty of room left for the 15 pound cat. This is the best quality dog bed I have ever owned and I highly recommend it.

Perfect dog bed. Easy to Clean, too!

This is a nice product and you can clean it but putting it together again is a pain in the a**. Even with two people it is very hard to move the zipper around and to stuff the filling back in. Not user friendly at all.

The fabric is soft and comfortable. The memory foam is high quality. Best of all the puppers loves it. Don't let the price scare you it is expensive but I honestly think it's worth every penny. We wasted our money on two dog beds before this one and I can say that this one is our favourite.

My dog is 85 pounds and this bed he got lost in. there could be 2 of him in there.The foam inside is flat in some spots and puffy in other spots.In my option only it was not a good fit for us or our dog.
