Prevents snow from blowing back in your face
I'm not sure why, but when it snows where I live it is always windy and the snow gets blown right back into my face when I'm clearing my driveway. This cover worked great for my cub cadet 3X snow blower. Assembly wasn't difficult, but I highly recommend finding the video online and watching them assemble it because when you have to find the tabs on the inside of this thing they're damn near impossible to find unless you're watching the video. But, this thing kept the snow from blowing back in my face and I love it.

I would buy again
Soooo, lot's of reviews about this cover. Some good, some not so good. Here's the skinny on this.I'm an elevator mechanic for a living so i'm well adapted in the garage and around tools. If you're into working on your own stuff, you won't have any issues assembling and installing it on your snowblower. It will however give you a run for your money if your not paying attention to the directions. I read a lot of complaints about the wrinkles in the clear plastic due to shipping. So before I did anything, I grabbed a large bath towel, got it wet and ringed it out, and then put the wife's ironing board and iron [carefully] to work. This actually did help quit a bit (and took quite a bit of time) I would recommend this. It didn't take out every little wrinkle, but it definitely helped with a lot of large creases. I was able to assemble the cab alone. After assembly, tried using a heat gun on low to remove some small wrinkles. If that helped any, I didn't notice. It took two of us to mount it to the Cub Cadet snowblower. Figuring out where you want it to mount and where it will be sitting is as tricky as it gets. It definitely pays to have another set of hands for this part as it is unwieldy. Once we got it all bolted up it seemed pretty sturdy. I think I will drill and through bolt the bracket where it clamps to the downtubes just to keep it from twisting/sliding during use as I can see that may become a problem. Remember, this is a universal cover. If you have a single headlight, this cover may work fine for you with it's zipper flap that allows the light to remain uncovered. It you have the newer duel LED light's like the Cub has, this won't work for you. Honestly, I'm just going to grab a large pair of shears and cut the cover where the lights go. Maybe duct tape or a few zip ties/bungie cords to hold it in place to the lights. If you don't do this, the light will reflect back into your face from the inside. Or just don't use your lights. We didn't find that the wrinkles obstructed our view as bad as some others stated. Let's face it, i'm not driving down the highway, it's just moving snow.By the way, it also has a little storage bag that hangs down from the inside bracket so you can stuff your hat or gloves in there.Pros:No more snow dustKeeps you out of the wind, dry, and a lot warmerFit's most anythingGood buy for the moneyEasy for the handy person to assembleIt's universalCons:Can be difficult to assemble for the "not so handy"You'll most likely need to do something to help get rid of wrinkles. You'll most likely have to do something for the headlights if putting on a newer model machine. It's universal

It works great
At 40% off I couldn’t pass on this cover. Put it on myself in an hour. You don’t need two people. Pretty strait forward once you get going. Use some loctite on the threads so they won’t back out. The bonus pocket inside I added a small fuel bottle and it came in handy cause I ran out of gas while running it. The only downside I found was my Ariens LED bar was blocked by the front cover which blinds you at night because the light reflects back. I’ll just add a few zip ties and roll it up past the light. It keeps you nice and dry when you hit that angle of the dreaded blow-back. I would definitely buy again and should’ve bought years ago. The clarity seeing through it is fine & looking to add windshield wipers :) - It keeps the wind , ice & snow off of you & does it well. Two bolts and you can pull the cab off the main bar and use it as a make shift cover for storage. It’ll take less room & cover your snowblower. GLTA

A truly universal snowblower cab
I should have bought this year's ago. I've been looking at this product for a while but every time I decided to buy it, it was out of stock. It kept the snow out of my face while snow blowing in windy conditions 👍.The clamps for the snowblower can be oriented horizontaly or vertically. It took awhile for me to find what worked for my machine due to clearances for electric starter and the pull cord as well the chute control. It won't slide on and off like the directions state (so you can store the cab) but that was because of the configuration of my snow blower. For me, it's worth the money.

Arnold Delux Universal Snowthrower Cab
Yeah, after spending around 6 hours (much of it in unheated garage) I love it. There is some distortion in the windows but it doesn't block view significantly. The instructions are not too bad. The hardest part was bending the very long flexible rod that supports the top. I tried assembling much of it in the house but to be honest it would have been just as easy to do the whole thing in the garage. They give you a choice of the front/back positioning of the cab by turning over the front mounting tube. Initially I had it pointed toward the front but that placed the cab too far forward making it more difficult to start the engine with the pull cord. Also in this position it doesn't give the user as much protection from the elements. They give you the right Allen wrench but you will need both a 1/2" and 3/16 inch Hex wrench to complete the assembly.Back to the instructions; they are just adequate, I highly recommend the unthinkable for most men, "Read them all before starting" It might prevent some false starts. It definitely will keep you more comfortable doing this somewhat unpleasant chore.Update 3/5/2015:Now that I have gotten to (unfortunately) use the cab I can happily say it does make an unpleasant job much easier. You no longer need to concern yourself of the wind direction and it feels good to not be covered with snow when the job is done. There is a little more tendency for the blower to tip backwards, especially on startup and moving uphill. Once you are aware of this you can compensate and after awhile it becomes 2nd nature to apply a little more downward pressure on the handles. All in all this was one on my best recent purchases.
