I bought the Elsewhere USA map for my niece and nephews to learn about US geography. I was impressed with its design and the thoughtful detailsInitial Thoughts:1. It appears that a lot of thought went into the design and contents, from the cardboard tube it is packaged in, to the black pouch that contains a dry erase marker, a guitar pick (to scratch off), the cards with state facts and a cloth to wipe off the map.2. The map is sturdy enough to frame.3. This would make a great gift for roadtrips. Kids can scratch off and learn facts about each state as they pass through.4. The makers of the map may have a new audience: new immigrants to the US! My aunt recently immigrated and is learning English. She spent the afternoon with the map, practicing her pronunciation, pointing out the states where our different relatives live and asking about each of the icons.6. In the near future, I hope Elsewhere considers creating a scratch-off map of the globe for kids.

My son loves this map, I am so pleased with this purchase! Very cute, and great quality. The silver you scratch off makes a little bit of a mess but easy to vacuum right up! Now his younger brother wants one and I will definitely be buying again!

Love this map! Exceeded all expectations. High quality attention to details (packaging, the actual map, stickers, guitar pick to scratch off states once you've visited etc...) and very well thought out design. Love the educational landmark cards and the fact that it comes with a dry erase marker where you can write on it and add comments. I originally bought this just as a gift for my kids since we travel often around the country, but am going to buy them for my nieces and nephews, too. Most highly recommend!

Fun for the kids and great for ending trip/vacation.

My kids absolutely loved this activity map! The scratch off design is such a unique way to not only learn about the states but create a fun visual aid for my kids on where they’ve been and where they want to go! Very well constructed and sturdy materials too! I don’t feel like my kids can destroy it! I would definitely buy any more products from Elswhere maps!

Bought these for all the nieces and nephews and some family friends this year. Just gave our first one to a 6 and 8 year old and it was a HUGE it! The activities, fun stickers and colorful fun facts are engaging and really nicely pacakaged. A big thumbs up on quality and wow factor! They were already making a list of where to visit next! I’ll be buying more!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son and can not wait to give it to him. The fun facts and unique landmarks makes this map stand out from all the other ones on the market. This is nicely packaged and sturdy. Looking forward to scratching off all the places we have been together!

This could be fun and educational, but wow is it messy! There is so much mess when you scratch off each section - think scratch ticket times 10 million - and it sticks to everything, literally. I couldn’t get it off the counter without some serious elbow grease. The map also comes rolled and it was impossible to flatten it out. This was great in theory, but just had too many problems to be enjoyable.
