This is a beautiful book and highly recommended to practitioners of Hung Gar. It's about 250 pages long, beautifully bound and illustrated (many in full color) and well worth the $50 asking price. I bought this for my husband who loves Martial Arts. He says it is a very detailed and comprehensive text on the Hung Gar style and that it was definitely worth the buy.

I've trained in the martial arts for over 30 years and have amassed a pretty decent library. This is one of the best martial arts books I have ever purchased.The book is very complete. It covers a very thorough, romantic and elaborate history of the art of Hung Kuen. This is my favorite part of the book. It then moves into stances and techniques, then to applications. It finishes with the form itself.The physical quality of the book is amazing. The paper is super nice. The hardcover is bound in a canvas material.I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to learn about, or supplement their knowledge of Hung Kuen.

Awesome! In-depth, and engaging, top class professional. I have been studying martial arts since my childhood years, and a manual like this only comes along once in a great while. The form is a cornerstone of the martial art, and it's depiction of the techniques is easy to follow, illustrative, and done by the best person to base your form off of in the style. Covers application and plenty of background for history fans, and a glossary of terms, all in a very classy package.

A very beautifully made and detailed book, certainly the best I've seen on Gung Gee. Perhaps a bit too much of it is dedicated to tributes and memorials. I wish that the pages describing the form itself had some more detail on applications... but this is true of pretty much every CMA book I've ever seen. The pictures here, though, are more detailed and clear, and go to lengths to show details of transitions that are missing in other books.

As all practitioners know, you cannot learn a martial art from a book. However, this work represents a valuable document useful for those who want to learn more about one of the most traditional styles of martial arts. Thanks to the authors!
