Perfect fit
I have the Arlo essential wireless doorbell. The chime doorbell works great! I did have to delete doorbell device re-add it for the chimes to detect but was a simple quick process. I recommend doing it close to the hub just for faster connectivity. I bought two due to reading reviews on not being that loud. It’s loud enough for living room area so I put second one down hallway and now can hear it well. First ring of the doorbell was delayed slightly but then after that seemed about 1 second or less. NOTE…After about 40-50’ could be delayed slightly longer but still worth the money. There’s about 15 or so chime sounds. I stuck with traditional 1. I tested motion and it seems only to go off when pushed but that’s perfect or would prolly get annoying

Be prepared to uninstall your door bells
Wife isn't tech savvy. It took like forever to get her to install the original app. And when Arlo required the new app, no chance. Based on the instructions, they we very easy to add to my base station. However, no matter what I did, I could not pair them with the audio only door bells. I called Arlo they could not get them to pair. Then Arlo support said the dreaded word. I need to stop buying their stuff in the winter. Do they not know it is cold outside. My system required me to uninstalled the chimes and door bells and start over with the install of one door bell then chime. it is at this point I was able to pair the chime with this door bell. Then I installed the other door bell and chime and was able to pair both chimes with this door bell. And for those who are keeping track, has to go settings to have the second chime added to the first door bell. Yes I had to redo the camera and door bell event/action. I am just saying, if the pairing does not work, just be prepared to do the above. It was very easy/intuitive to set a different melody for the front and side door. Now when you press the door bell, my phone rings, the house chime rings and the Arlo chime rings. The test: wife saw it in the sun room but she didn't know what it was and I didn't tell her. Today/tonight Amazon delivery pressed the door bell and she heard it and came down to answer the door. Success!! Now I don't have to call her from work to get the package. This is a win-win for everyone.

This is pretty decent add on for those
who are already using Arlo camera. Well worth adding, works very well. Tech support was surprising effective for me.I did not want to use yet another app like Ring for a video doorbell set-up. Besides I cannot stomach paying Ring $30 a year forever to retrieve MY VIDEO when for $5 you can store all data on a 32gB microSD card. The chimes chimes via the server nightly checking for firmware updates. Every night starting at 3:00 am. If there is no update available it checks again at 4:00am, then again at 5:00am. Each time it tries to update the chime rings and wakes us up. Maddening. So in order to fix this problem I had the camera motion which pairs with the chime to come on after 5:00 am and go off before 3:00am. That way I miss the daily chimes every night. Better than junking the system and going with RING etc. A periodic firmware update is not worth this hassle.

The sound is weak. And it needs to be louder.
The seller is fine. But the device itself is not good enough. The sound is weak and cannot be heard in a fairly decent space in a duplex. I think they purposely do that to make you to buy 2 devices instead of one.

A good idea, poorly executed... but at least the tech support is excellent.
Amazon won't let me rate the Arlo Video Doorbell as I purchased it from another retailer, so I'm reviewing this accessory instead. Truly, the Arlo Chime was the most frustrating part of the whole setup, so I guess that fits. Overall, I would recommend Arlo security cameras, but not the Arlo Video Doorbell or Chime, as they don't work well as part of an overall system, the software is buggy, and the available chime sounds are terrible. I will say that Arlo tech support was excellent and really tried to help. We ended up returning the Arlo Video Doorbell and Chime and kept the Ultra 2 camera set we bought. We had hoped for one integrated camera system, but the Arlo Video Doorbell and Chime worked so poorly together that we went back to Ring. Among the problems we encountered:1. The Arlo Chime cannot pair directly to the Arlo Video Doorbell; the doorbell is meant only to work with your existing mechanical or electronic doorbell chime built in to most homes. This is very counterintuitive, especially since the Arlo Chime /does!/ pair directly with the non-video Arlo Doorbell. Why they didn't implement this is a mystery. It's even more confusing because the phone app suggests that this is a supported option. I assure you, it is NOT. The Arlo executive responsible for this decision should be publicly flogged.2. If that weren't bad enough, while you /can/ pair the Arlo Video Doorbell and Chime to an Arlo base station (required if you have additional video cameras, as we did) and get them to work together, the process do do this is poorly explained and the app's setup and installation flow (otherwise very good) did not explain this at all. I installed the Ultra 2 cameras and base station before the video doorbell. On installing the doorbell, rather than detect and automatically connect to the base station, it prompted me to connect to our wifi network. Even though the base station and video doorbell were on the same network, they would not "see" each other. It took a call to tech support to learn that I needed to remove the doorbell from my wifi and re-pair it directly to the base station. These products should all work together seamlessly, but that's simply not the case.3. As mentioned above, the Arlo Chime can pair with the base station but not with the Video Doorbell directly. This is fine if they are on the same base station; you can then set the Chime to play a sound when the Video Doorbell detects motion using what Arlo calls "modes." This was not intuitive but at least partially worked as described. Unfortunately, the sound options on offer--to put it mildly--suck. They offer only doorbell sounds or some variation thereof (modern, traditional, etc., but all of them sound like a doorbell). One of the things our old Ring doorbell & chime did was play a nice wind chime sound on detecting motion. It was a pleasant way to know that someone was approaching the door even if they didn't press the doorbell (which resulted in the different, normal doorbell sound). To add insult to injury, even though the app contained a volume slider for the Chime, it didn't work. It always played the same annoying, bad sounds at the maximum volume. Truly rage-inducing. Don't code the dang volume slider into the app if you can't get it to work, Arlo engineers.4. Last but not least, the dreaded video call feature. You're /supposedly/ able to turn this off by going into "silent" mode. However, we could never get it to work. I understand that some people may like this feature, but we don't want our doorbell calling our phone Every. Damn. Time. someone presses the button. Again, the software appeared to allow you to turn it off (while still triggering a sound on motion detection). However, it simply didn't work.Again, we're keeping the Ultra cameras but returned the Arlo Chime and Video Doorbell to buy another Ring. I'm truly disappointed that these products did not work together as one would expect. I do want to shout out to Arlo's tech support, though. They were helpful, patient, and truly tried to address our issues. However, at the end of the day too many things weren't working as they should. Maybe Arlo will get it right with version 2.

Great Product; Simple Installation
I bought this for use with my Arlo Wire-free doorbell. Plugs into any outlet. I have it connected to my base unit to the Arlo doorbell. Very easy to install through the Arlo app on my iPhone. It gives a selection of ring tones, and the ability to easily adjust the volume through the app. It's a good choice to pair with the doorbell, if you do not want your Amazon devices (Echo, etc.) to announce when the doorbell rings or movement is detected.

A Little disappointed
Given the robustness of the Arlo camera system I was disappointed with the Arlo Bell. The embedded message in the bell that cannot be removed is just plain stupid. This is a pity as the system is well designed and works well. But when you just want it to operate as a bell while you are at home you will have the embedded message play to callers while they wait for you to open the door. The design, software and the appearance are very good but the message "glitch" is disappointing.
