What did they change? It's AWFUL!
Loved the first box I got months ago but my latest order tastes TERRIBLE. It's like bitter chalk - not any sweetness at ALL. Shared with others to confirm it's not just me, and it's definitely not. I was hoping this would be a staple in my 'healthier' way of eating, but I'm not buying it again.

The stevia made this chocolate too sweet. If you make a less sweeter version
Sorry, was not a fan. I eat a very dark chocolate at least a 60 percent or 72 percent. The stevia made this chocolate too sweet. If you make a less sweeter version, I'm there.

This is not a Paleo protein bar.
This product contains erythritol, a sugar alcohol naturally occurring in fruits such as pears. Erythritol as an added ingredient is made from genetically modified corn. For further proof in this instance, the erythritol listed in the ingredients is not marked organic. GMO's are controversial, and corn is not a paleo friendly food. In addition, sugar alcohols are not well tolerated in our bodies because they cannot be fully digested. The undigested portions of the erythritol ferment in your intestines and can cause a myriad of upleasant side effects such as diarrhea, gas, bloating and cramps. Not good eats in my opinion... Though it's not as convenient as this shelf stable bar, if you need protein in a pinch keep some hard boiled eggs handy. If it's the sweetness you want carry dates, figs or dried cherries with you, they're natures candy and offer a plethora of beneficial nutrients.

First Try, Disappointing Product
I prefer healthy foods and am sorry to say I got suckered into this bar by the Paleo Protein label. This bar seemed promising, hazelnut, cocoa butter and so forth. It tasted awful, powdery, with an aftertaste, likely due to stevia. The problem with this product was more than just stevia, it was the overall flavor - chalky and bland. The company does say they use a non-gmo Erythritol. There are certain coconut sugar sweetened bars that are delicious. I wasted my $5 on this bar at a local health food store.
