Ceramic rod knife hone
It’s a nice unit for the money . Quick and easy blade tune up for pocket knives or any smaller sized knife like paring knives . If you’re doing big butcher knives , I’d get something bigger. !

Great for smaller forged knives!
I have larger steel honers I use on my big knives, but I like this one for my forged steak knives as it is more easily controlled so not to overroll the edges. It is sturdy enough to last awhile, but it IS ceramic, so don't drop it. Cleaning it with a green scrubby also seems to restore its hone-ability nicely. You'll like it!

Super handy
I like to keep my knives razor sharp so, after using one a lot, I will give it 4-6 swipes on this and it's back to prime condition. It's small enough to keep in the side table and I don't have to go through an entire sharpening process. I would recommend this to anyone with an every day care knife

They work but very low quality
I have been using ceramic rod sharpeners for years and these are the first ones I have ever seen that were not straight. I ordered two and both looked like a warped board from the home store. Since ceramic cannot warp, these were this way from the factory. They are also listed as 5 inches long but as you can see they are not the same length. One is about 5 inches and the other is noticeably shorter. I am not sure how much this will impact its knife-sharpening ability, maybe none, but it does say something about quality control.

Ceramic knife sharpener
I have a knife collection of about 170 pocket knives. I’ve tried sharpening them on a whetstone but I had a chance to use a ceramic sharpener and it was much easier. I read that you should use a ceramic knife sharpener about the size of your knife. This sharpener is perfect. When it arrived, I sat in the living room and sharpened my Spyderco PM3 lightweight, putting a nice sharp edge on it. I am totally satisfied with my purchase.

Not bad for the money...
What can I say? It's a knife hone, simple, and reasonably well constructed. I wish it were a little larger, but not enough to run out and spend forty or fifty bucks for a high-end hone.

Awesome inexpensive sharpener
This is awesome for touching up the edges of your knives. It inexpensive & works great. Also works very well on curved blades like Karambits.
