Solar Lantern Outdoor, Hanging Solar Light with 30 LED Fairy String Lights and Handle, Waterproof Decorative Landscape Lamp for Table Garden Patio Yard (Warm White)

I mean it definitely is one of those items that you get what you pay for. It wasn't super expensive and it shows. The lights weren't working for the first few days which made me frustrated so I did the whole smacking the bottom trick and the lights started to work properly. It was definitely what I was looking for though because I needed a front porch decoration that lit up without a candle. Where I live it is way too hot for any fake or real candle to sit outside. Therefore this isn't the best made and with our intense sun I'm sure I will have to replace it sooner than others but it serves its purpose and looks cute while doing so.

This lantern is made of cheap plastic. The lights are supposed to be green, blue, and purple, but the only visible color was green and it was faint even after charging all day. I requested a replacement lantern, which shipped promptly. It lit up the way it was supposed to, but it came broken. One of the corners on the top of the replacement lantern is cracked, so the top will not stay on. As a result, I cannot hang this lantern as I wanted to, so I am returning the replacement also. This is NOT worth what I paid for it. I will be purchasing something else.

I only mention that I'm an electrical engineer to provide some credibility to my comments. The switch that turns to unit on and off is of very poor quality. I have not been able to closely examine it for there is no access. We have 8 of the units for our patio and we find ourselves having to exercise the switch to on & off for the light to finally come on at night of course. One of the units never comes on even after exercising the switch. My logical next step would be to test the battery and if defective to replace it. There is no access to the battery. Many products come that way these days but I think the buyer should at least be advised that the battery is not replaceable. In other words, when the battery becomes defective which it can do even in its early life, there is no recourse except to trash the lantern and buy a new one. If I am wrong about the accessibility of the battery someone please let me know how it is done and I will retract my statement that the battery is not accessible. The battery is the 2nd main component of the lantern and if it can't be replaced then your money is wasted on a poor quality product. Walt

The lights are nice and bright, but the top of the lantern is made of cheap plastic, held together to the glass lantern with tiny screws. Unfortunately, one of the corner screws, holding the top to the bottom, was broken off. There is no way this lantern will last if hung up outside.I thought the quality of this would be better, considering the cost of it. I'm sending it back.

Ordered 4 lights. One arrived badly broken out of the box and another wouldn’t charge/turn on. Retuned all 4 units.Really cheap, flimsy, low-grade plastic construction, connected with screws that would have pulled out with a mild wind.Can’t believe these sell for $25! I bought 8 similar lanterns last year, paid quite a bit less for them- and they were metal! Still going strong more than a year later.Huge, HUGE disappointment! Do yourself a favor and find a different light from a different manufacturer. These aren’t the lanterns you’re looking for!

It's beautiful, but the light doesn't last long. I had it positioned to get full sun (this is Arizona, where we get lots of sun light pretty much everyday), but still the light goes out an hour or two after dark. Otherwise, the solar light is good.

I tried THREE of these and none worked properly.. This was a replacement for one that didn't work..Worked well the first night.. the next night it only worked for two hours .. Even after I pressed the on button it did not stay on.. I would NEVER buy this again..

I'm not one to write reviews (good or bad), but this lantern is so pretty, well made, durable for outdoor use, that I have to give it an A++ review. The lights are truly a warm white as described. They look beautiful on each side of me carport. I just ordered 5 more for the other sides of port and one for my shed. Photo taken from inside house. Not very good quality because at night and window screen, however. you can see the warm white lights.
