Good replacement part
The power cable connector in my Mac got fried due to a damaged power cable, so I replaced it with this piece after swapping the power cable out. It's been in my computer for several months now and has worked without any issues. Install was easier than expected, once you have the tools and courage needed to open your computer up actually pretty easy to access the power connector and swap the parts out.UPDATE: As of July 2021 I've not experienced any issues thus far, and this part continues to work great.

great fit and works perfectly
wasn't charging before, and the light wouldn't illumine. once i opened the board, pushed away a wire to get to the two screws, it was a cinch to fix. careful how much pressure you apply in slided the connector out. I did a bit too much but it still worked. not too much damage to the plastic holder! highly recommended product, works great!

Works as described
I installed this on my 2013 MacPro, very easy took about 2-3 minutes. I was told is was too hard to do etc.. maybe on a different model, but its extremely easy. Charging is working flawless now.

Did not work for me
Used for my MacBook early 2015 13” retina, because MagSafe charger wouldn’t light up. It was easy install, but this new power board didn’t change a thing ( checked with Apple store Genius Bar experts, They say it’s a power board problem)My next step is , I ordered new MagSafe charger, will update if it works, otherwise faulty power board? Don’t know, will keep you posted.

Excellent. Late 2013 13" Macbook Pro.I have two chargers for the laptop. For the past two years I've had issues with them that had progressively gotten worse. I had to wiggle them around and twist the magsafe connection at weird angles before the laptop would take a charge. I simply figured it was the chargers but didn't want to shell out the $100 cdn for a new apple one. Looked up how to clean magsafe port and in the top comment somebody mentioned that these ports are separate... and cheap. For some reason I always just figured it'd be part of the motherboard.From the time I turned off the laptop to turning it back on with the replacement part in it was under 20 minutes. Easy-peasy.Both chargers now work as they should. As new. No more wiggling and jiggling.
