I’ll be honest, I didn’t use this product on a human. I did use this on my white pony who transformed into a gorgeous unicorn overnight for a special birthday party. Wow! Let me tell you this stuff is vibrant and it really does stay on for a long time. Pros: extremely easy to apply. The colors are bright and stunning. Lasts longer than you’d think. It stayed in my ponies mane for months. (Granted we didn’t use shampoo to clean it out) Cons: it lasts a long time 🤣 this could be a pro and a con. Stains your fingers, the brushes don’t hold the chalk well so sometimes you’re better off removing the chalk and resuming without the brush. You also have to put a good amount of pressure to make the color bold and noticeable.

Takes time to build color and left hair sticky. Pulled out hair as it got sticky. I think a spray would have been easier, faster, and darker color.

Summary: It makes a lovely, subtle purple on my medium-dark brown hair, exactly what I’m looking for in a professional office setting. Because it’s wax, not chalk, it lasted several days until I washed my hair. I’d buy it again because it’s the only stick set I could find that was just purple, not rainbow. To quote the product paperwork (see photos): “The Hair Chalk is designed as a wax crayon instead of a chalk, ensuring longer-lasting color adhesion and reducing fading. Blow-dry and comb your hair after coloring to reduce greasiness.” I think it may be beeswax, not carnuba, because it’s sticky. Because it’s wax, not chalk, it requires a lot of pressure. You can do that to someone else with a comb, but it’s impossible for yourself. I took the stick out of the comb so I could apply pressure to a lock between the stick and my thumb. When I applied it to very damp hair after a shower and then combed it, I got a very diffuse, subtle purple (photo from the front) and did not interfere with my curls. It shows better on my grey hair, like at my temple near my part. It air-dried a bit stiff but I was able to scrunch out the crunch like I would hair gel. After my hair air-dried the stick was still damp and I used it to add a few more stripes that were more vibrant (photo from the side) but it straightened the corkscrews at the end of my hair to waves. Because it’s wax, not chalk, it did not rub off on my clothes, but it did leave a little purple on my pillowcase.

That don't work at all, I followed the instructions and it did not work. Unfortunately I bought it more than1 month ago so I can't even return it anymore. 😕 I used orange color and you can see in the picture the results. 😕

Does not show up well on dark hair, if it does, it eventually fades. Very disappointed, it’s also messy and gets everywhere. Once u put it in 7r hair and u think it dried u touch it and ur hands are filled with color. Never again.

If you have a dark hair, don't buy it

These did the job, but most were goingmouldy from trapped moisture by the time we used them. They sat in their original packaging and still went gross. We had enough for Halloween but had to toss out 6 of the combs because of mould.
