Suzuki Guitar School, Vol 1: Guitar Acc.

As a Suzuki instructor I was a little disappointed in this book. It contains a number of mistakes. Also why does Alfred not combine this book with the companion student book and the CD so students and teachers do not have to buy everything seperately? I think we all know the answer to that one! $$$$$

Nit what I expected I thought it would tell me how to start teaching my granddaughter but it is just the notes to the songs

The Suzuki books are terrific, affordable, classical guitar books with beautiful songs. but theory and "how to's" are taught by a Suzuki teacher. Don't expect the usual method book; I love Suzuki, but it is not a "teach yourself" program.

THIS CONCEPT IS A PURE FANTASY.

The Suzuki collection offers a wonderful repertory to the beginning (particularly) young student of music. You will, however, want to do your research before purchasing. This is just a collection of pieces and is in no way promoted as a teaching manual. The songs within are very carefully chosen with regard to their progression of technical difficulty and musical acquisition, and under the auspices of a proper instructor will prove very effective.
