The book that every 356 lover should have

Interesting book but in spite of the cover it is about the history of the Reutter Company. The fact that the 356 Porsche was a big part of the company's history in the 50's and 60's makes it of interest to fans of 356 Porsches due to the vast number of pictures of the workings of the company.A lot of great pictures but a again focused on the company and the people who made it successful.The book seems to be an expanded version of the 10 year history book published by Reutter in 1956, "Stuttgarter Karosseierwerk Reutter & Co GmbH 1906 - 1956." Published in German.The book contain numerous detailed pictures of 356 Porsches in various states of assembly because that is the nature of the work at Reutter.Additionally, the book covers some of the evolution of the Reutter designed seats that became Recarro.In summary, it seems to cover a lot of details about the 356 body and interior that I have not seen in other books.A great add to my library of Porsche books.

For the trust diehard 356 enthusiast, this would be highly recommended for the library archive. Admittedly I spent a few days viewing all the wonderful historical pictures of production before I delved into the text itself. (Which is just as good) Ordered additional copies for holiday presents for friends. (hopefully they don't read this review!)

I am sure that this book, Porsche 356, Made by Reutter, book was one of my husband's favorite Christmas presents. It was on his list! He was so happy when it arrived that he could not wait for me to wrap it.

Written in German. Hard cover with heavy weight glossy paper.Black and White photos telling the story in 'English!'A wonderful addition to any book shelf.This book is worth the purchase just for the wonderful 'story-telling' photos.

Gran libro que no puede faltar en una buena coleccion de un aficionado al motor.Contiene mucha info sobre los acuerdos con Porsche, fotos de la fábrica y lo que era el día a día de la empresa carrocera, no es un libro exclusivamente del modelo 356.
