Amazing guide. It will guide you step by step on how to change just about everything. It has everything you need to know from changing oil, to checking the automatic fluid, to changing a battery, to checking the brakes. An absolute must if you don't know anything about mechanics; like myself.I was able to change the oil using this guide. Yes, I know... changing the oil is as simple as sleeping but I had no idea what to do and his guide provided all the information I needed; saved me a good $75 (yes I did pay that much when I took it to a local shop, and I don't think they used the right oil). With this guide I only spent $35 on the oil and the oil filter and I made dang sure I was using the proper oil and oil filter, not some cheap or recycled crap.Yes you will have to buy tools, but those tools will become an investment and you won't have to pay hundreds of dollars just to get a simple thing fixed.This guide is for the self-starters and self-reliant, this guide will teach you just about everything you need to know your CTS. I love my CTS and with this guide I can make sure I give my precious CTS some TLC.If you are a veteran mechanic then you probably won't learn much, but if you have little to no knowledge about your CTS or cars then there's a plethora of useful information you can use.Pros:-It's a $20 investment that could save you THOUSANDS of dollars-Instructions written in plain English-Covers everything you need to know about your CTS, even has electrical wiring diagrams!Cons:-Some pictures are dark and kind of hard to see the details

Although I'm sure this will still be a good resource it doesn't cover the AWD model.

Adequate for most general things but I was hoping for more detail on the different systems. I have the 2003 CTS and there is not too much on the 3.2 V6 and is mostly centered on the 3.6 V6. There is also not too much focus on the 2003 model and it is only spoken of in general terms.

I recently took my present car in for maintenance and was shocked at the prices they wanted to do certain things. I felt that I could do these things with the right instruction.That's what this maual does. Shows you how to do simple repairs that the dealer would over charge you for. I've had these books for my previous cars and I've saved so much from using them.

OK, but not enough photos. project we were working on the book kept sending me to other chapters rather than just giving the information . Need more photos

This manual is ok. It only has the basic information needed. I purchased it to perform a timing belt R&I. It skipped some steps but I was able to figure it out because I am a mechanic. This manual is not for the average Joe.

Hard to come by, immaculate and will be a very welcome xmas present for my dad!

Mein Allzweck-Schrauber hatte mich gebeten, für den Einbau eines neuen Steuerriemens in meinem Caddy etwas Dokumentation heran zu schaffen. Mit diesem Buch war es für ihn kein Problem.Großer Schreck, als er erkannte, dass der Wagen nach tagelangem Abklemmen der Batterie alle seine Betriebsparameter vergessen hatte! Für GM-Werkstätten kein Problem, denn die haben ein Gerät zu Speichern und wieder herstellen dieser Daten. Jetzt erwies sich dieses Buch als Glücksgriff, denn es erklärte, wie man die "Schulung" des Wagens auch manuell hinkriegt.Der Kauf hat sich gelohnt, die Informationen waren genau was gebraucht wurde.

Leider nur in Englisch, zum Teil gehen die Reperaturen etwas tief in die Materie wo dann die Bilder wiederum etwas schlechtr ist. Die Modelle ab 2003 bis ca. 2007 werden nur gering Unterstüzt.

Great book
