These are great!
NEW REVIEW UPDATE - in my previous New Review Update I said they had carbon, I meant charcoal!UPDATED 01/06/24 - These arrived in perfect shape this time, they were packed in a box (it seems the seller reuses boxes, which I appreciate). Now that we're in the damp, rainy season I have to have these. I placed a few around my apartment and they've already started to collect moisture. Can't see actual water in the bottom yet, but you can tell there working because the little pellets are starting to stick together. After the bottom fills with water, I empty just the water and reuse again. The pellets seem to last long enough to fill with water at least 2x. I have a plug-in dehumidifier, but what I like about these is that you can stick them high up in a closet, in corners of a room, and I even put them in my drawers last year when the rain and dampness got so bad. I highly recommend - definitely help with moisture (you'll be pleasantly surprised) and any musty smell that comes with it.UPDATE - rcvd the partial credit, the seller was responsive and made things right still not clear on how they're supposed to be packed, but seems like the envelope is the new standard. Anyway, bad delivery aside, THESE THINGS REALLY WORK!!! They are great. Now, if they could just make them the same size as they originally were (and keep the price as-is), they would be perfect!UPDATE - the seller is issuing a partial refund, they did not state how much that is. the seller was responsive, but never did address the issue of how these are supposed to be packed, only that they are packed the same (which is not the case because first they came in a box then an envelope). They said the cause of the breakage was the courier's fault (i.e., not packaging items that can break in an envelope). These came in an envelope (ridiculous), not a box (which was how I previously received them). One of the containers was slightly smashed and broken, and a VERY SHARP, like tip-of-a-knife sharp, piece was poking out of the envelope. Luckily it was placed on top of my mail box in a way that I was able to easily see this, otherwise the tip could have easily punctured or cut me. So, besides the ridiculous packaging, these things do work, they really suck the water out of the air. Its disappointing, however, that they are now literally 1/2 the size they were a few years ago when they cost under 1.99 each, they are now almost 2.75 each.

Great Product
These work very well for my closet areas and other damp areas in my house, I shall be purchasing them again.

Effective and good value.
Used them to collect excess moisture, eliminate odor from a closet and cat litter box area. Effective at collecting moisture. Somewhat effective at fighting odor. Biggest problem is the crystals sometimes bond together, creating a solid mass and restricting airflow. When this happens I leave them in place anyway, sometimes laying the unit on its side or changing the orientation to help moisture penetrate .

Moisture control
Good buy and easy to use and usually lasts for a few weeks. I use for moisture control in our vehicles for mold and mildew smell, especially during the winter.

Perfect for my small, damp places
I have a ten-foot wide, three-foot deep, double-sliding door "closet" in my basement located under the first-floor front, concrete porch. The area typically smells very musty. I bought these and placed one in the closet. It lasted about five months and I no longer smelled the musty odor.
