Great Bipod For A .308 HBAR AR-10
Mounted this on my AR-10 with a heavy 18" barrel. Fired 20 rounds with it mounted this morning, and found this bipod to be exactly what I was wanting and needing. Plenty sturdy with no discernable movement. I shot from a wooden bench and the tips held just fine throughout the shooting process. No skidding or having to readjust my position for follow-up shots. The tilt/cant adjustment made it very easy to sight in and lock down once I had the reticle on target. Easy to install. Fit perfectly and made shooting with it very comfortable and predictable. I have a friend who asked about borrowing it for his .338 to see if it would work for that caliber. I think I would rate this, with due caution, up to a .300 Winchester Magnum, but no more than that. While the bipod is sturdy and works for my .308, I believe a .338 surpasses what the design and material of this particular bipods' design parameters are. There are heavier bipods for that.

Light and Efective
I bought the rifle sling mount version for my Ruger 10-22 a year and a half ago. I have used it for varmint removal and bench shooting. It's light easy to use and adjust. There have been zero problems with it and I am happy with the bipod.

Okay, within limits
Nice sturdy, light weight bipod, at least in terms of being able to hold up the rifle, and reasonably priced. While an aid to accuracy if you're looking for minute of bambi at 100 yards, it's not steady enough for target work. Especially unsteady once you extend the legs. It's not the fact that the gun can be rotated a bit in the stand, it's that it rocks foreward and back several inches. Off a sandbag I can hold 1.5" at 100 yards. My best was double that off the bipod.

Almost as good as a Harris.
This bipod is almost as good as a Harris and if counting a Picatinny to swivel stud adapter its 5 -6oz lighter than my Harris S 6-9" which is the main reason I bought it. The good. Its lightweight and 5-6oz on the end of your gun makes a difference, the legs deploy quickly and easily, the pan and tilt are adjusted on one large knurled nut, there is plenty of range of motion both pan and tilt, you can easily use the bipod legs panned to the side on walls/barricades, the legs adjust height easily, and the bipod takes a heavy forward load with no impression that you are straining it. The not so good. The legs are a little difficult to deploy in a smooth one handed operation, they open at an angle so you need to flatten out your hand and push and one of them likes to bind, I am sure practice will make it easier to do but its something I noticed. Folding the legs back up is also tricky using your left hand its super easy to fold the left leg but you have to contort your wrist to push the button on the right side to fold the leg. Again I am sure practice will make it easier but its something I noticed. The pan and tilt are a single adjustment that is in a sort of inconvenient place if you are used to the Harris system with a lever add on this is certainly an adjustment you will have to make. Maybe someone will make a lever that can be added to nut for this bipod. Also it seems no matter how tight you get that nut it won't lock out either adjustment and it seems to loosen once you start using it. So if you love the fact that you can set and lock your Harris that might be a deal breaker for you. Its not for me, with the nut very tight you can set the tilt and it will stay put, just not locked as solid as a Harris would be. There is a slight rattle to the bipod the fit between the polymer outer shell of the bipod and the metal inner legs is a tiny bit loose and it does make a very small amount of noise. Its nothing major, its not loud but it is there. Overall this bipod is good, it has good features, seems very well made, is strong, lightweight and durable. Its just not quite as good as a Harris for precision shooting since you cant easily lock the tilt/pan. I would recommend it but just know the limitations of the product.
