Ancient Treasures Little Dancer by Degas Statue, Bronze with Colored Details

The figurine arrived safely. The packing was not much better. The figurine fell to the bottom again, but it was not damaged. The figurine is beautiful! Thank you. (But for long term, I recommend more protection in the packaging, like have figurine in its own box with styrofoam around it.)

I've bought several of these for gifts. This one is by far is the worst finishing of the statue than from other suppliers. The deatailing and finish looks very painted .

The Little Dancer is my favorite sculpture and I have viewed Degas original at the National Gallery of Art several times. I have been looking for a replica that looks like the original. I was excited to find this one because the dancer's face looks the Degas original.I was very disappointed in the workmanship in this piece. While I didn't mind that statue was made out of resin, I didn't like the fact that it is very obvious that the entire piece had been painted. The dancer is painted bronze and the skirt is yellow. The painting is so sloppy that it runs outside of the lines. There are several places on the back of the piece where the bronze paint runs onto the skirt. Fortunately this is confined the back of the piece and it's not noticeable when sitting on a shelf.

Just received this, and it was packaged very carefully and secure. If you admire the original Degas as I do, you will enjoy this statue. Its not very large, but its weight and detail keep it from looking like a "cheap knockoff". I am very pleased with this, and it looks great on my bookshelf! A great addition to any art collection for those of us who can't afford life size orginals. :-)

I bought this statue for my granddaughter who is studying ballet and loves the Degas pictures of the ballet. I couldn’t be more pleased with this piece. It is so pretty and so delicate and absolutely captures the feel of Degas’ paintings. It far exceeded my expectations, I love it!!!

Description was accurate; I thought the reproduction captured the original well; the colors were natural, the white skirt was not fabric, but sculpted (as described). I like the height and am glad I went with this on over the smaller one that is available.I am satisfied and recommend this statue

Well built with a decent likeness. I would recommend it.

I found a picture of this and gave it to my granddaughter at Christmas ,her expression when she opened it was not the greatest.I hope she learns to like it because I got her this figurine for her upcoming birthday. She is 7 and is taking ballet ,I felt it was just right.
