In over 20 years drumming, these are my go to sticks
They are:*Reliable for gigs when you play that little bit harder*Strong*Little longer than the normal stick and slightly thicker as well without hitting the 5b world* Vater, so excellent quality. I feel the stick pairing is better with this brand

Great but not very consistent
They are my favourite pair of sticks however they are not perfect. When ever I order these I always buy two pairs because the sticks are not same. For example one pair may be really light and the other is really heavy. But I don’t mind that much really. The durability on them is alright. I gig quite a lot and I play quite loud especially snare drum. they tend to last a few months before they become to broken.Overall they are great but very consistent, also fairly cheap.

Good, solid sticks. Can take the punishment and last the distance.
I guess I'm a bit of a heavy hitter. I tend to go through el-cheapo sticks in about 20 minutes. I've enjoyed Vic Firth and ProMark sticks in the past but I wanted to try summat else for a change. These hickory 5B sticks are the heaviest I've handled, but they're certainly sturdy enough for the job. 12 hours of playing so far and they barely looked touched. A wee bit o' sandpaper and they'd look new. These have already proved to be a better buy than the cheap sticks by Stagg et al, and if they get to the 2 week mark, they'll equal ProMark for durability.

Highly recommended for funk and jazz
A very lightweight stick that I would recommend to any funk or jazz percussionists. The stick is slightly longer than a traditional 7A measure which I found was very comfortable, especially in situations when you are playing on the bell of the ride etc. as it provides a slight bit of extra reach. The rounded tips are my favorite as they offer a defined edge which are great for dynamic cymbal work. However I would not recommend these sticks for drummers or percussionists that play heavier funk, blues or rock as I found the sticks do not tend to last long when coming into contact with the edge of cymbals. But overall this is a good quality pair of drum sticks by a trustworthy iconic brand that have been in the industry for years.

Not sure
These were different to the previous Vater Manhattan drum sticks we have ordered. For starters they didn’t say Manhattan on them as others have. Sticks seem ok quality but not sure they were what we thought we had ordered.

Took me 5 years to finally break these sticks. Best quality out there!
When I first started drums when I was 10, I got a pair of these. My music store gave me them. It took 5 years for them to finally break. I’ve gone through 6 sets of sticks in less than a month at one point. Don’t buy any other brand. Vater owns this section. I bought another pair for my new kit. And they are a charm. Don’t buy any other brand. Even if the wood type is the same. Vater just perfect it.

My go-to drumsticks for the past 10 years
I tried many different sticks/brands in the beginning, but I've been using Vater 5B only for the last good 10 years. I find its weight balance is perfect for me for the bounce and throw, and the surface finish is great for the grip despite my sweaty hands. Highly recommended.

Excellent
I bought these for my nephew who is an avid drummer and plays in a band. He loves them. No complaints at all. Good make at a very reasonable price
