Not quite Ikea
Disappointing. For me the mark of a good cookbook is that I immediately start turning over pages of ‘must cooks’ - devise shopping lists - and move into the kitchen, book open.I think I’ve cooked just one item from this book in the few months since I bought it and even that was just okay, by contrast I love Ikea’s very useful cookbook.

A nice one, relevant and interesting.

Intriguing, but poorly translated for an American audience
I found it to be very interesting, but it was not written with the American kitchen in mind. Directions weren't clear and there were typos. Some ingredients were unknown to me. Nevertheless, I did enjoy reading it, and it gave me some ideas for improving some of my standard recipes. I'm also keen now to go to Sweden to try some of the book's dishes at the author's restaurant.

THIS BOOK WAS PURCHASED AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE WHO IS MAD ON NORDIC COOKING.I SAW THE AUTHOR NIKLAS EKSTEDT ON BBC's SATURDAY KITCHEN AND WONDERED IF HE HAD PUBLISHED ANY BOOK AND WENT STRAIGHT TO AMAZON AND FOUND THE SCANDINAVIA CLASSIC,THE PERSON I BOUGHT FOR HAS MADE SOME OF THE DISHES AND FINDS IT A GREAT COOK BOOK.
