Awesome product, excellent performance. They are durable, lightweight and very effective. A must have for backcountry or emergency communication.Customer service is great. Seller is courteous, communicative and stands behind their product.All around very happy with this purchase.

They should have used arborist throw line. Instead they used para cord, which is horrible for pulling things over a branch because of its stretch and the loose woven sheath just gets hung up. Plus arborist line is far smaller in diameter and still stronger, making for a smaller package.Also, the length of the throw line is far too short to be useful.

Arrived, very quickly via FedexOn the insert is the measured SWR and frequency it is tuned to, 146.021 and an SWR of 1,02My tests came up with almost the exact same numbers.The RT radio with a High gain Rubber ducky and even a Comet SMA " high gain " VHF UHF antenna could not reach even the closest repeaters without issues.Today we are reaching the majority of the local repeaters, some as far as 30 miles away!! not bad at all.This is a quality product, well conceived and produced.A few issues, it would help to get or use an SMA adapter that would prevent the "twisting" that occurs when trying to mount the small SMA male/ PL259 adapter cable.Also, the definition of a " tall tree" in Texas differs drastically from a " tall tree" in the Pacific North West ;) I use a nice length of bamboo that is about 18ft that works perfectly.For all of those looking for a great and easy solution to getting on the air, try this one you will not be disappointed.

This is a great, compact antenna to keep in your kit for when you need to reach out a bit further with your handheld radio or in a woodland environment, it helps you “punch” through the vegetation further. It absolutely works as using this antenna in place of my Signal Stick (best whip antenna) I am able to reach 3 additional repeaters that I otherwise can’t reach from home. I always pack it in my kit when I go in to the backcountry.

Very good antenna, well built and sturdy. Brought my Baofeng radio to life. Talked to a repeater at 62 miles. This is along way in my flat land area. Great portable antenna for hiking, camping, or emergency use.

Tested this on a uv5r in a heavy wooded area in Alabama and was able to make contact 5+ miles to my anytone 7778 uv mobile with the s meter showing 8. Probably could have gone 10 miles but wasn't driving it right then.
