Constellations of the Night Sky Coloring Book (Dover Space Coloring Books)

Great book for the kids. All recommendations.

I ordered several of these books to give away to children who were learning about the constellations.

My four year old loves constellations, and the stories behind them, so she really liked this coloring book since it has both components. Althoug she was nervous about some of the pictures- like Perseus was too scary to color, although she likes the story and the more cartooney pictures found in D'allaire's book of Greek myths, this one was a little too scary. All in all pretty cool, Dover coloring books are the best! I also got it fast as always from Amazon

More about the figures represented by the constellation, which is quite understandable. The artwork is okay, just not a very good presentation.I think using dark paper and white stars/outlines would vastly improve it.

I wish the coloring pictures more closely matched the shape of the actual constellations and that the charts on front showed more than just the basic stars for each figure. Those 2 improvements would make it much easier for a child to make the connections. But the stories were fascinating!

The stories and constellations are beautifully drawn in here. The pictures that go with them are nice to color, and the stories are great if you're trying to learn your mythos.

Nice book but it's listed as a coloring book but doesn't really feel like it. Not for a child nor for the new thing of adult coloring. Nice informational book but shouldn't be listed as a coloring book.
