Solid hose
We got a new frig so I decided it was time to install a new water supply line. I now have two filters in line and the frig got an internal filter. Anyway, I needed this short tube to set up my filters in the basement. Works fine. Pricing on these hoses is interesting. If you extrapolated the price for a 1 or 2 foot length to a 20 footer, you'd have to mortgage your house to pay for it.

Lasco products always reliable.
You can pretty much be assured that if you buy Lasco, the product will not leak. Have used their stuff for years with no problems. This was no exception. Went right on and zero leaks.

Can't Use Due to Big Box Policies
Product itself seems to be of good quality, but be advised your local big box store may not allow the use of this product, even though new, because it was not purchased from them. They will only warranty there refrigerator and installation of the water line if they use their own water hook up line. The line they will be using is your typical poly line and I can't see how that would be better than this. After their install I will probably just put this in place and hold on to the other in event I need warranty service.

Just Right
Purchased a 5 year water filter but didn’t have the proper fitting to connect the “In” side to my shut off valve (both male ends). Got this hose to bring unity and it worked.

I wanted a protective braided line for our basement frig water hook up. This worked great.
I wanted a protective braided line for our basement frig water hook up. This worked great for the short section between the pierce valve and the in-line shut-off, which was then followed by a 6 foot braided supply line to 5-year in-line filter before the final 10 foot braided supply line to the frig. It all worked perfectly with no leaks at all.

Great Pex alternative
This is my second attempt at a new water line to my fridge in as many years. After the original line fractured and leaked through my kitchen floor and ruined my basement ceiling, I tried another Pex line. This one started to leak after less than a year, so I turned my attention to a braided steel line with attached compression fittings. One thing I noticed in my research is that all braided steel lines from all manufacturers have about the same percentage of people who complain about the line adding a taste to their water. Prior to installation, I hooked the line up to the valve and stuck the other end out of my kitchen window and let water run through it for about 30 minutes. After attaching it to my fridge and running a few glasses of water through the dispenser, I've noticed no funny taste or smell. And simply threading the nut on to the fitting and tightening it down is so much easier than dealing with finicky compression fittings on plastic tubing.Only time will tell about the overall durability of this line, but I've been very happy with the ease of installation and the results so far.
