Constant monitor
Very accurate, very tiny and very useful. I have always kept it in my camera bag to keep monitoring the humidity and temperature as I travel to different places.

Nice device but over priced for Indian market
Good handy device to know room temperature. But missing decimal temperature readings for such high price device. Also please make weather station wifi models available for India at reasonable pricing

Accurate and sensitive - yet to be sure how useful
Read through nearly all the reviews and go along with the majority view - this appears to be an accurate and sensitive device. I am using it to measure residual damp in a bedroom ceiling. The humidity range in my case went from 43 to 63 but never higher. I am unsure whether I will need to calibrate but that is a useful option. Instruction manual contents were unclear on toggling from 24 Hour to All time level - but then I was told the answer was on the cover of the manual not inside !

Nice choice! You might or might not prefer a light.
A smidge smaller than an audio cassette or one and a quarter USB's high LOL. What a great looking unit.I recently had a new furnace and humidifier installed. The main new full featured digital thermostat gives me temperature and humidity readings on the main floor; but, I also need to know the same downstairs in the family room so I opted for this AcuRite 01083M Pro Accuracy Temperature and Humidity Monitor after perusing others. It met all my check marks as I know perfect doesn't exist for several reasons, having worked in the industry (unless your room is a controlled sealed bubble per se). Therefore, good and in this case very good does a great job for me.A quick glance at my family room bar fridge (where an integrated magnetic mount holds this unit), and I now have a temperature and humidity reading that is almost bang on, having tested it from the position of my thermostat upstairs. Besides, my main one is wired and costs in the lower mid triple digit category, and I'm going to compare apples to oranges? Nope! But, both of these units are closer to apples to apples and oranges to oranges. They are that good. Why does that matter? I can now set the humidifier to meet my requirements that will keep my acoustic guitar and electric guitar happy. Remember I said perfect doesn't exist? 40% - 50% humidity is usually recommended for the guitars to prevent neck warping, cracking and more, but that can be bordering on too high for some homes, so I keep a happy medium around 40% - 42% when they aren't humidified in a case.A back light? That would be handy, I suppose, but I'm guessing battery usage would increase, and I like this slick modern design Temperature and Humidity Monitor layout, size, and features. This AcuRite does the trick. Recommended.

Best in class – here’s why
[NOTE] At the time this review was written, this device had only been for sale since December 2016 and reviews for 3 completely different models were all mixed up together. So to be clear, this review refers ONLY to the AcuRite Pro model AcuRite 01083M Pro Accuracy Temperature & Humidity MonitorLIKES1. Small physical size but large easy to read primary displays2. Well-designed hole for hanging plus 2 strong magnets. NO fold-out easel stand but wide flat base allows it to stand up pretty well3. Setup controls are not too complicated4. Smaller digital readout of temperature and humidity history. The temperature one is for the past 24 hours, the humidity one can be switched from past 24 hours or lifetime (until the battery is replaced at which time it resets).5. Comfort zone scale is somewhat useful and easy to understandNOT SO GREATThe largest display is humidity and the smaller one is temperature. Some people, including me, would prefer to have them reversed. It would cost nothing for them to make this a setup option, it makes no sense why the designers didn't realize thatNote that there is no clock function whether visible or not. That means that you can't choose when the 24 hour cycle begins/ends for recording daily highs and lows. For example if you insert the batteries at 3:48 PM that's when the 24 hour recording cycle will begin. You can trick the design by waiting until midnight to insert the batteries if you want to know the history for a true 24 hour cycleThis is a simple temperature/humidity reader, there are no clocks, remote sensors, alerts, alarms or anything else. For my purpose of monitoring the room temperature and "comfort" level of humidity in my bedroom none of those mattered, I bought this because it was exactly what I need.ACCURACYA thermometer is worthless if it's not accurate. Unfortunately the vast majority of thermometers being made these days are pure junk, sometimes nowhere even close to being accurate. And humidity meters can be even worse. This one out of the box was within reasonable tolerance if you're not picky but it did read a couple of degrees high for both temperature and humidity. That would be something you'd have to live with for most products in this price range but the good news is that with this model you can fine tune both the temperature and humidity readouts by calibrating them using a known accurate device. Once calibrated the AcuRite Pro was dead on after that, at least until the batteries had to be replaced.
