Have absolutely no idea why the glass globe just rests on a perfectly flat surface without so much as a tiny indent to stop it sliding off. If you put this on a bookshelf that's free to move even slightly when knocked it will come off.No timer function, so you have to remember to turn it off if you don't want to replace the batteries after each use

This is sold as a “lamp” - I beg to differ. The glass ball rests (or slides around, in practice) on the smooth flat base and this is extremely unstable; there is nothing holding it in place at all. With children and pets it is only a matter of time before this gets broken. The glass feels nice & heavy but the base is cheap & plastic. For this price I feel extremely ripped off and have a very disappointed Pokemon loving son.
