5 Worlds Book 3: The Red Maze: (A Graphic Novel)

Beautifully drawn and written series, with a deep spiritual underwriting about the danger of hating your enemy, as you may or will end up with the same evil in your soul that you have been fighting. An important message in our polarized society where people hate each other on the basis of ideology or beliefs. No matter how much we feel justified in our judgement of the other, hate mongering ends up eating up our soul.

A thrilling follow-up to the first two books!It was a long wait after the cliffhanger that the second book left us on, but this third instalment in the Five Worlds series takes all we loved in the first two books and deepens it. I am amazed that the roster of super-diverse characters that come to help or thwart the three heroes has continued to expand, with some memorable additions in this volume. I particularly loved Master Zelle, the sand dancing teacher from the native race of shapeshifters who are oppressed on the red world of Moon Yatta.My 8-year-old nephew had picked up on the environmental themes in the earlier books, and this time he had many questions about power and how it corrupts the political leadership of Moon Yatta. There’s no heavy-handed messaging, but I love that a series for kids doesn’t shy away from important questions or dumb things down for them – the books can be read on many levels, and many times, because the art is absolutely gorgeous and rewards you with lovely discoveries every time. In a series where the color of each world, and of each corresponding beacon, is highly significant, it really helps that there’s such genius in the use of color palettes to convey mood and meaning. This is a fantastic series that I've been recommending to everyone around me, and I can't wait to see what's in store in the fourth book!

Book 3 is my favorite in the series. The art, the story, the characters are all so well developed. My niece and I love reading them together. The 5 Worlds team keeps getting better. When is book 4 coming? Can't wait.

Great book! Absolute must read!With two beacons lit, and the mimic still out,the adventure will never end, and neither will my love for the series!

Product arrived with caked dirt on the back and had a dent, either was packaged this way or was damaged on the way, which wasn’t surprising as it was in just an amazon bubble wrap envelope which is not great for paper back books. Overall the rest of the product is great but I bought the product new and the dirt on the back (which was not on or in the envelope it came in, so it must have been there when packaged) makes me feel like it’s a used product that was good enough to sell new?

This graphic novel is compelling for children and adults. It is really a beautiful fantasy story. I hope this eventually gets made into a movie.

This book is a continuous story of the other books in the series. I like the part when Oona lit the red beacon. She teleported her way and lit it. It was better than the older books. - Michael age 12

My children (ages 7-11) have loved this series and get it out regularly for a reread. They are anxiously awaiting for the next one to come out.

My daughter collection is now complete until the next one comes in. She loves it. Great cover for paperback, and a strong binding for a graphic novel. So it will hold up to multiple readings. Well printed images, no blurry pictures or words. Thank you.
