I purchased this item with a lot of excitement as I really like the old vintage look . When it arrived my husband was skeptical as it was nothing but cheap plastic casing and a cardboard paper for the dial inside . I still liked it and put it in my bedroom with a brand new battery. The movement was smooth and even my critical husband was forced to admit that it looked good . But that was it...ONE Day . It retarded the time by an hour the very next day !! We again thought it must be the battery and changed but NO, it kept on retarding the time . Now it has stopped working altogether in ten days at 3.15 !! The worst part is the response from Smile Mary ...they suggested I buy another of those lemons! It sais " Refund this bad clock " ...how do I refund . Also no clarity on how to return . After repeated emails I found out that dear old Amazon will issue me the return label . And so I now have the return label. I have to go through the hassle of going to the UPS office ...such a colossal amount of time waste for a piece of trash.

Clock exactly as shown, sweep second hand, silent operation. Keeps perfect time!! Very pleased wuth this purchase!

It started off o.k., but now has just died. I changed batteries and to no avail this clock is total garbage so don't waste your money. Buy locally so you can return.

This clock, similar to many others at far less prices, kept accurate time for less than 1 yr. I thought it must be the battery, but after changing batteries several times, with no change in this clock's accuracy, I soon enough found out that this clock was simply a poor quality, over-priced item.

This clock looks like a much higher priced item. The attractive decor perfectly matches the surrounding colors. Very pleased indeed!

The clock hour and minute arms just fell off inside the case. My return window passed by 2 months but it has a year warranty. Wrote company several weeks ago. No response

So the 4 or IV is wrong. Displayed as IIII - I cant believe I didnt notice. I knew something was off. It didnt look quite right and then I realized the typo. It's actually on the image. Otherwise it's a nice cheap clock. There is no tick.

We love this clock. Used in a grouping above a floating shelf. Matched our decor perfectly. The sweeping second hand is nice; no ticking!
