Exploring Landscape Art with Children (Come Look With Me)

The book itself seems like it would have been perfect. The post office ruined the packaging and it got left outside during a thunderstorm, so the art work is ruined and stuck together.

Nice grouping of landscape images to observe and discuss. Just so you know, that some little kids will not like the lion eating an animal, but it is the reality of nature.

We have loved all of the Come Look With Me books. They are a great way to introduce art (and how to appreciate it!) to young children. Yes, a parent could probably do this same thing with their child, and skip the books, but I'm not incredibly insightful and I usually can't come up with the kind of discussion points that these books do. I love art & I love being able to share that interest with my kids in an easily engaging manner.

short and sweet little introduction to various artists and styles to which my children had not yet been introduced. Liked the thought provoking and discussion encouraging questions that go along with each represented piece of art. price was right too. I would have preferred a little more oomph to the book, as it is quite thin... all in all, a good pick. I will be purchasing others in the "come look with me" series.

The book is good, but the presenttion by Amazon was appalling for a child's gift! I felt compelled to rewrap it even thought I had paid for it. I never would have guessed that Amazon could be so ignorant as to to wrap a kids'd gift in boring plain blue paper suited for a male adult's gift! Try harder Amazon...your gift wrap is not cheap!

Book arrived on time and in excellent condition! This is a great book for teaching art (CM Style) with wonderful pictures and brief excerpts for each picture. Love it!

Looks good. Some good questions to explore with children.

I originally borrowed this from the library and loved it so much that I had to purchase a copy. I'm looking forward to using the other books in this series as well!
