An awesome Speed control , Brushless motor & Program card . And it works flawlessly !
No dislikes at all , I converted my Old T-Maxx from Nitro to a Brushless system and to my amazement , it's quiet and faster than ever . This is an old original .15 T-Maxx that has seen many modifications since 2001 when it was bought new and is a fun Vehicle to run now and NO Mess to clean up afterwards . Bought from a Great seller through Amazon .Seller is highly Recommended as well as his Product , Jim

Impressive torque.
Not sure how to rate this yet. Looks very nice feels like nice quality, however the ESC fan is kind of loud. Got it all hooked up used the programming card I installed on a 1/10 buggy. Tested it it my basement for a minute or two. It was sitting on carpet I gave her the beans pointing towards the outside door. It immediately blew apart one of my dog bone axles. So I'll update when I get new ones in

So what do you get for little money?
This is going to be a long, detailed, but hopefully thorough and helpful review. The question is can a brushless motor and esc be any good if it costs only 1/3 of what the brand name kits cost?I was literally browsing Amazon with no intent to buy anything, when I came across this cheap and cheerful brushless motor kit.... super unbelievably cheap! The reviews on Amazon, mostly positive, didn’t give very much real use information, and the negative ones complained mainly about esc cooling fan failures and wires being too short. I have extra cooling fans if that’s an issue and wire extension connectors, so I decided to give this kit a try.It came in a oversized Amazon shipping box, which is good, but there was no packing material to keep the display box from bouncing around inside the Amazon shipping box. This means the display box was dented up by being thrown around by a series of rather disgruntled postal workers. The display box is foam lined so there was no damage to the actual contents. Anyone else notice that products sold on Amazon are arriving damaged more often lately???Oh well, let the fun begin!I installed this on my long time test mule, a Traxxas Bandit model 2405 from 2007 that has seen many years of use, many upgrades and many motor combinations. (Sharp eyed readers will notice the shell in the picture is a model 2407 Velineon VXL-3S From a 2012 model and that the battery tray has been modified to raise the esc and make space to accept non-hump batteries.)Also, yes I know the tires in the picture are shot but it’s not what I am running on. Those are tires were used in my initial test so if the setup was overpowered and burning out tires, I didn’t end up ruining a new set of rubber. Smart!Always keep a set of old tires!I decided to start with 23 pinion and 86 spur gearing (10.17 ratio) which worked well with the upgraded bearings, slipper clutch, suspension, etc. while using previous brushless motors of similar power. I also used a cheap, but pretty good HOOVO (I guess that’s the name) 7.4v 5200 2s LiPo battery.Stepping back to the programming control attachment. There is a pretty basic list of settings, from low voltage cut off, start modes, brake force, reverse force and neutral range. Nothing incredibly special, and with it using the receiver connector to attach, it’s something most people will want to set once and forget about if they have a waterproof receiver box since it is a pain in the butt to open and connect to the programming controller. The one thing the esc (and remote waterproof power switch) doesn’t come with is double sided sticky pads to mount the electronics. This isn’t a dealbreaker by any means, but it would have been nice if mounting foam tape had been included.Installation was simple, although there have been some reviewers complaining the wires are too short, they work fine on a Bandit. I would recommended some wire extender plugs just in case though. I have some but didn’t need to use them for this installation. They would probably be necessary on a Slash or Stampede though, or other models like Tamiya, Helion, and so on.Power is connected through a Deans plug. If you use Traxxas plugs or Molex connectors exclusively, be sure to get an adapter plug first. They are super cheap! There were no cooling fan issues on mine, everything worked exceptionally well. The motor is powerful, brakes well, and doesn’t show any signs of overheating. (1 hour run time, with frequent stops and checks in Sunny 87°F weather.)I can’t speak on the longevity of the unit as I haven’t run it much yet. With several runs in the heat and humidity, as well as a few in the cool and rainy, it has worked pretty well with no complaints or issues.I would say that this is a very good brushless motor kit for everyone from a first timer to someone who is a veteran RC driver. It’s probably not going to win you trophies at a short course competition but it is a good, responsive, fast, and good looking upgrade for hooning around with friends.I will continue to run and test this motor and if there are any positive or negative issues in the long term, I will update this review. I think I will leave it in the Bandit and let my 13 year old son bash it about, since that is his favorite RC car in our fleet. So far so good, and highly recommended, especially for the price.

Strong little set... might need parts now.
Could come with instructions on matching leads for esc to leads to motor or at least with poles marked so your not guessing it's cortect while installing. Could also use crimp leads to offer out of the box compatibility options with traxxis as it is reccommended for use in this brand. Performance so far I am more than happy with. Might have to change out the wheels to keep my bandit on the ground more but cant complain... the remote now has linear characteristics the stock speed control didn't offer and I may have to program in a throttle limit so its not skating... but I deffinately made the boys jealous. Its so much faster I might need parts when I run into things... we'll see though.

JUNK STAY AWAY
Total junk 1st set had issues with the motor and the esc requested a replacement and after getting the replacement I installed it then had issues again where the motor randomly drops power output to about 25%

Fan failure.
Product worked well out of the box, but fans quit working second time out.I purchased two placed on two cars. Both experienced the same problem. So I don’t think it is a fluke.

Amazing acceleration and control
I got this esc/motor combo in 3 days of ordering it and put it in my 10th scale stadium truck for a big race on Saturday and finished 2nd in heat 1, 3rd in heat 2 and 1st in the A-main.This is not a sensored combo but it has great acceleration and breakingAnd is good enough to win in the modified truck class
