Great book, arrived quickly and in good condition

Sweetest book we’ve ever read. My child’s favorite book.

I love this book. I read it at the library and I wanted to own a copy. So I tried to buy one and I thought I had. Then one day I noticied a refund in my bank account which I thought was strange but I still thought I was getting the book since nothing had been said to me. It was several days maybe weeks after the book should have shown up that I finally asked what had happened and thats when I was finally told. But I will still keep using Amazon this is the only time something like this has happened with them and I have probably bought 100s of books from them. I have been buying books and other things from them for 4 years now. I love how easy it is to use amazon to find so many things so easily. So even though Amazon messed up that one time I have no problems still using them because their times of not messing up far outweigh this one time. I will even try again to get this book from them. And I would still recommend Amazon to others without one bit of hesitation. I just have to be honest with what happened with this one book.

This a very heartwarming true story for all ages.

Wonderful story for a thoughtful toddler. It works especially well because my grandson's name is Owen. However, he would have liked the story no matter what the hippo's name was. It's a poignant story that even a youngster can appreciate. The illustrations are great, too. Very good artwork.

Beautiful story with engaging and touching illustrations. A must have for children and Owen and Mzee fans alike.

Sadly, this book came with bent in corners. I'll keep it to read to children in my own library but bought another for the gift I was going to give.

I bought this book to read at school to my Reception class, as one of the children had recently suffered a bereavement. It is a very sweet and sensitive tale, that all of the class enjoyed.
