Waterproof Ipod
The waterproof Ipod I ordered for my granddaughter arrived so fast, it seemed like it was here by the time I pressed the "order" key!!! It is exactly what she was looking for. Now she can swim laps at swim practice and be entertained at the same time. She used to dread practice, but now she looks forward to it because of the quality of this tiny product! Thanks so much.

Great product!
My daughter has been using her new ipod every day when she's swimming. She loves it! Makes the time go faster and seem more enjoyable. She's even used it in the shower to listen to her music. She is very pleased with it, so that makes me happy.

She loves the shuffle but said since the headphones that came with it work great, she hasn't tried the Swimbuds yet
Bought this as a gift for my sister... along with the swimbuds. She loves the shuffle but said since the headphones that came with it work great, she hasn't tried the Swimbuds yet.

Great Product
What a fantastic product. I swim laps and it was really getting boring. My shuffle has made swimming really enjoyable. Bought one for my sister. Her shuffle stopped working and AudioFlood replaced it immediately. I brag to everyone about this product!

Really makes swimming laps go by much faster when you're listening to music.

Excellent little bugger
I looked at several of the swimming MP3 players and they all seem to have major flaws in their use: this one doesn't recognize certain files, that one will only play in alphabetical order, etc.The appeal of this one is that it's an actual iPod. I don't own the latest and greatest Apple products, but the ones I do own just seem to work. The process of putting music on here is pretty straightforward and uses iTunes, and the sound quality is great. It has two settings: play in order or shuffle everything that's on here, and I've simply trimmed the music I put on here to tracks I want to hear while working out. Then I can shuffle and it plays them in random order. One thought for ease of use: I put this on my goggle strap the same way every time. It doesn't matter what way, so long as you can remember where the volume and skip buttons are since you can't see the thing when you're swimming. I rarely use the volume buttons once I'm doing my laps, but I occasionally don't feel like hearing a given song and it's good to be able to reach back and skip to the next one mid-stroke.The quality of what you hear, however, has one other link in the system: the headphones. There are several on the market and you may simply have to try a bunch to see what works for you. I have to use a swim cap to keep it all in place and not flip off on my turns, and I also had to get a little velcro-y cord-wrap to bundle the excess cord on the goggle strap next to the iPod.The sound quality of this iPod is great, but don't automatically expect great sound underwater. It will depend on the headphone and it will depend on how they fit your ears. Sound travels better through water (my physics friend tells me) than air, but the real problem is that if the headphone you have don't fit your particular ear shape (or you haven't excavated your ear hair!), water gets in and then runs back out when you turn your head to breathe. If water's in, you hear fine; if water's out, you hear fine; if water keeps going back and forth and the headphone keep moving so they point at your eardrum, then they don't, then they do.... well you're going to have lousy sound quality. But don't blame it on this iPod, because it sounds great! One other note: I listen to lots of podcasts, but, thanks to the earphone issues I just described, I cannot do so while swimming because too much is lost. Music is where it's at for swimming! Finally, AudioFlood lists this as a 5th Generation iPod, which it does not appear to be. From what I can tell, it's still a 4th Generation, but they released a bunch of new colors, so maybe it's a generation 4.5 or something, but Apple does not seem to list any 5th generation yet.... disingenuous on the part of Audioflood and the one reason I dinged them a star ([...]).EDIT July 2014: I just noticed that this product header has been changed to "latest generation" rather than 5th, so I've boosted my review up to 5 stars because it's now perfectly accurate! Also, after using it for the past 18 months, it's still working great. I tend to leave it attached to the headphones and strapped to my goggles, and I rinse the whole thing after each swim and then hang it to dry. The iPod is still playing perfectly and shows nearly no signs of aging, although I do need to replace my headphones. Fantastic!
