SKM Grout Aide Grout and Tile Marker (Mushroom) - 33 Colors Available

The mushroom color looked like a neutral beige-like color online. I had even requested a sample card to be sent to me to make sure it was close to what I needed. However when I received the mushroom color it was more gray than beige. Thanks to the EXCELLENT (5 Stars) customer service folks at ProtectItRight.com I was able to try 3 other beige colors that I thought might work. I selected almond, ivory, and slitstone. I tried all three. The almond was the lightest beige, next slitstone, then ivory. Actually all three would have worked but the ivory was a slight bit darker beige than the other two. The application was not hard (I sat in a dining chair and leaned down). But the greatest challenge was that the felt tip wears out very quickly. I ended-up unscrewing the top and applying the paint with a Q-tip. It worked well but I needed several Q-tips. You can buy 500 at the dollar store for $1. Please remember to shake the contents very well before using and as you proceed. Cleanup was easy with a damp cloth. I would buy again. I used three pens for a 10x12 room (2 coats in some areas) with a little left over. But it really depends on how wide the grout is and how many coats you need due to magnitude of dirt and discoloration. My grout lines were the size of the felt tip. Hope this helps.

I'm in love with this grout pen! I got this in "Mushroom" and it matched my tile perfectly to what it used to look like when the tiles were first placed. Over time the grout around my tiles had gotten small stains and discolored so appeared brown (as seen in the pics), but the original grout was a silver gray. This matches it perfectly and looks brand new again! I also only used one pen for my entire kitchen. It's a small kitchen (maybe 10' x 12') but one pen was all it took. I ordered another just to have handy. Highly recommend!

The color was as I expected. It came witb a reversable nib plus a spare one attached to the cover, i guess to respond to complaints that the nibs wear down quickly. I was pleasantly surprised how this product covered grout that was much darker than what I was applying. That’s the main reason why I bought it. A while back I needed to reattach some loose tiles. The only cement I had was very dark, like a charcoal color. It made the floor look very unsightly. Now, you can hardly tell which tiles were replaced. I bought 2 tubes and am now thinking of doing the rest of the floor being how new the patch work I did came out.

Love this product. We bought a fixer upper house with tile floors and red grout. Ugh! In an attempt to save about $7000+ for new floors, I decided to try staining the grout. Tried a few....came across the product by SKM. I was so pleased with the results and ease of use that I have now stained ALL of my grout (2000 sq feet) with this product. I went from rosy red grout to a neutral gray. Fantastic product!

The trick is knowing when to squeeze out more. Once you figure that out the results are beautiful. And i agree with others at least for the mushroom color, it is much lighter than pictured. Maybe the parchment would have come out looking like the mushroom is shown.

Good product, good coverage, but you only get to use half of it because the felt point wears out too quickly. I had to cut pen open and use a paint brush to finish the job. They should give you an extra tip.

Good product! My only problem was I found this to be a lot lighter than I thought it would be. Maybe just my browser

Didn't work nearly as long as it says. Hard to use
