Use Yourself or Donate to Others in Need
I'm going through my old purchases to review everything I failed to review earlier. I bought these when I was trying to get prepared for a possible winter earthquake. At that time there were four family members in our house; there are now two, which is just as well, because I sent these to an earthquake just south of the Mexico-California border. A friend came from there, and found that minimal assistance was being sent. He collected supplies from everybody who could donate, and then drove his loaded truck down to help as he could. I'll need to lay in more supplies myself, but if I had them and his family and friends in Mexico needed help, I wouldn't hesitate to donate again.

Emergencys are what its designed for...
These bags do work, they hold in body heat in an emergency but...I tryed to use them as a cheap alternative to camping out on a short notice as I am a Civil War Re-inactor (and camping on short notice happens often).I simply got tired of freezing and being cussed at for throwing all the wood on the fire at 3am because I couldnt sleep due to the shivers.I only used this bag 1 time. I was fine till 3am and awoke with the chills, I slept in my clothes while in the bag and it held in my body heat and my Moisture, which caused me to be damp from the waist up, which gave me a bad case of the "shivers".Besides the noise from the "crinkle" sound the mylar makes it did function as stated, I just dont reccomend using like I did.Would make a good 'vapor barrier' for an under layment for bedding maybe.Great if you got trapped in your car in the winter too, as in an Emergency. Will toss the rest of them in the car's for future use.

Outstanding prices, and protection to keep in your car/home for emergencies. The South experienced ICE STORMS which shut down traffic several hours to over 24 hours. People were ICE BOUND in their cars, freezing temperature, no food, or water too. For the price these may be life savers. Use Red Cross and FEMA web site to prepare your car for year round travel, and expect the unexpected.

Have to Have
This is one of those things you MUST have. You throw one in each of your cars, and you keep a few handy in the event the power goes out for a long amount of time and you are without another option. A Mylar sleeping bag is one of those things every person should have if they are semi-serious about being prepared for an emergency.

Perfect for emergencies
This is the perfect addition to your auto emergency kit...particularly if you do a lot of skiing like we do. The worst thing is being stuck in a broken down car with no heat. This includes 4 and while we havent had to use them yet, we feel much more secure now knowing that we have them as part of our emergency plan.
