Kiln Construction: A Brick by Brick Approach Paperback – January 10, 2007

Excellent book for studying kilns. The photos are beautiful and the information is top notch. There is a lot of 'potter humor' in the way the author writes. It is truly a treasure.

Love the book! What a great read. Full of a ton of information. Only thing I would like to see added in, is that Joe Finch picks a plan for building a kiln. From there a row by row instruction, example being "hey here is this 10 Ft. by 10 Ft .kiln that we are going to build" "This is how big your going to build the fire box and this is where you will place it". Still this book is a great read and great reference for when I start building.

Beautiful book and insight into kiln building. Not a substitute for hands on experience but close to it. Will give you confidence.

If you are uncertain about how to go about building your own kiln at home this book will help you out. It was the first of several books that got the ball rolling for me and now I have my own kiln at home.

Info was for the type of kiln that I was not building, However the book was written will and had a lot of info for the type of kiln that they were constructing.

Very detailed book on how to build 1 type of kiln. You can have several variations to the same one. For a large scale potter who wants to fire multiple things at a time. If you are curious for hobby sake this may be a bit much.

This book is very informative and helps break down how the kiln functions. While you can follow the plans for the kilns provided, the author provideds enough information to design your own.

Good useful book. Describes various designs of kiln with build instructions and photos.

The only problem in the book is that, the writer did not explain how to install the Gas pipeline. This means,the user has to employ an expert to do the installation. I hope I am right.

Ce livre est bien documenté,bien écrit et plaisant à lire. Cependant, c'est dommage de ne pas parler de la construction de petits fours pour particuliers et pour de petits budgets. Le prix de fabrication des fours proposés est sans doute trop élevé pour beaucoup de particuliers...Il aurait fallu insister sur ce point...
