Great information but I was expecting the book to be a bit longer.

This book gives lots of great information for hairstylists and hair colorists no matter what brand they carry ! !

Makes the subject much more confusing than it should be. Also he leaves you hanging to have you buy more of his books and every book seemed to do the same, indicating more information on the next book. I'm sorry I bought his books

This book is a must have for all hair stylist who desire to increase their knowledge about hair color. Whether you are a new stylist, or a seasoned stylist, who never performed much color, but now would like to tap into that client market. This book will give you the confidence you need and color theory that has been unknown until this book came along. This book should be in every salon that performs color services and every cosmetology school, as a reference and for educating salon staff and students. You will not regret buying this book and it will make you hungry for the others, which ultimately leads to a thorough understanding of how hair color works, packed with tips and techniques, that are simply, a better way than those taught over the years in cosmetology schools. I have a salon and I use all Davids books, ebooks and videos for training new talent. He supports no manufacturer and is not trendy in his teachings. Its generic hair color 101! He is very knowledgable and I have attended his classes many times over the years. He is passionate about the industry and very generous with his knowledge and passing it on so to uphold the integrity of this profession. You study his books, implement his findings and no excuses for hair color going bad . You will Not be disappointed in any of Dave Velasco's Haircolor books! They are Amazing to read, full of information, easy to read, and worth every penny. He will give you the "Real" color tips that you can use daily for the rest of your career. These are the building blocks you need to go on and become a Color Specialist. He really knows his stuff, and even after 25 years of doing hair, he is my biggest mentor as a colorist. Simple language...basic concepts made clear. A good reference book for practical scenarios. However priced high for the amount of content shared .
