Hans Blomquist In Detail: Inspiring ideas for creative interiors

This book was quite inspirational in the sense that it's rich with ideas on how to display ordinary objects in an attractive and interesting way. The photos are beautifully staged. Most of the ideas are achievable. In that sense, it's quite a fun book and worthwhile. I didn't really appreciate the room of furniture with the guts torn out that no one would be able to sit on, that was a bit of a stretch. There are many photos of branches sitting around in bottles or hanging off of things. If you do that, you have achieved the look.

The book is a very fine work of Art with excellent pictures on a type of interior decorating. The seller advertised the book as being in very good condition, but the spine was broken when the buyer received it. The buyer does not agree that the book is in very good condition yet the book itself is great.

Beautiful book. I loved it. I gave it 4 stars because there was an animal head, baby alligator and dead bird in it and I can't stand that kind of thing. But the book itself is fabulous and I highly recommend it. I love his style and artistic vision. His first book is wonderful as well.

I really really wanted to like this book. I expected to like it. As soon as I opened the box, the feel of the book was great --- textured cover and even some raised lettering!! The book felt and looked expensive. However....much to my disappointment, there were few inspiring ideas. I'm afraid the book is full of photos of plants set in all types of containers; pictures of ropes sitting on top of books on top of chairs, chairs with the upholstery missing and springs showing through, old paint brushes. These are not things I consider inspiring; they are not vintage; these are the next step after vintage. So Hans, I'll give you credit for a great cover, quality paper, and good photographs, but a D- on inspiration. So sorry.

The book arrived in time and it was delivered at the house. For a second hand copy, it is good as new. Colors are vibrant and images are beautifully curated to inspire interior styling or prop styling in your own home.

This book does not disappoint. Eye candy through and through. Gorgeous photos. Fantastic design ideas.

simple and to the point.

I ordered this unseen ( can't be the only one who wishes publishers would get their act together and show us properly on Amazon what illustrated books actually look like inside) I was prepared to be disappointed, in fact - but I liked what I had seen of this stylist's work on-line so took the risk! Anyway, I'm delighted with this, and will be hanging on to it rather than giving it away as a present. I've already found several inspiring ideas and useful suggestions in it as well as, of course, many lovely images to peruse. My only criticism is that my eye was really longing for some more colour - loved the couple of pages he spends on subtle pinks and greens - but obviously he's known for the neutrals. If only RPS would give me a little more information about the inside of Hans Blomquist's other book, I might be tempted to order that too...

an interesting take on styling and interiors, definitely more "Elle Deco" than House and Garden type style..
