FlipFix Premium Metal Access Panel / Access Door for Drywall / Easy to Fit (18" x 18")

The "key" needed to lock it was not included in the box but, after a month & 2 requests, the company finally sent one.I would have much preferred a more conventional locking system rather than this one but very happy with everything else.

Product looks good works as advertised.. It just came missing the key. Amazon does not provide a way to have this shipped as a replacement part.

Sturdy clean looking access panels. Locking system with supplied hex key is great. Highly recommend for a sturdy clean looking access panel.

Cut the hole while waiting for the panel to be delivered. Once I received it, took 30 seconds and a drill to install. Looks polished and refined. Really like the wings used to keep the panel in place, unlike some of the other options. Not much a fan of the plastic keyhole and key as I worry the key may strip if opened often enough, and don't like that you have to remember where the key is in an emergency, but I hung it off an adjacent cabinet to compensate. Overall, very happy and would buy again.

This metal box is well engineered and the instructions are simple and easy to follow. Suggest you use a level at the bottom of the cardboard template and again after installation of the door but before complete tightening. This will make sure it is level and looks good.

Very pleased with this product. This is the second identical panel I've purchased. Purchased an 8'x8' a few years ago for ceiling access and works great. Easy and quick installation. Template makes it easy to install. Looks more professional than a plastic panel.

Definitely worth the extra for this well-finished easy to install access panel. The panel is on show where I needed to install it and I wanted it to be smart and durable. This fits the bill perfectly. The bonus is that it is especially easy to fit and fits very flush. I'm very happy with the result.If your access panel is going to be well-hidden, there are a lot of cheap and nasty plastic access panels, which I suppose would do the job, but I would still choose one of these again for the time and hassle saved by a quick and easy installation.

Thoughtfully designed and well made. On smaller sizes, there is quite a lot of the opening taken up by the fixing/hinge mechanisms and the door stop, so keep this in mind for your application. Fortunately the panel is easy to remove for a larger opening should the need arise.

This is a very neat product and the best construction I have found.The attention to the design and the quality is very good, even the packaging is very clever and doubled as a template
