BlanQuil Quilted Weighted Blanket W/ Removable Cover (Taupe 15lb)

I have had my blanquil for about 4 weeks now. I was aware of good reviews but have become disappointed after testing it for a couple of uses. I must comment here how shocked I was at the weight. This thing is HEAVY. Even if I liked this product, I would order the 15 lb version. It is also very cumbersome when adjusting the blanquil around yourself. My original intention was to use this as a throw for my favorite oversized chair and ottoman...but that failed because all of the beads(?? or weights) fall straight down toward the floor, so all that remains to keep me warm was basically the cover. I can't believe that the manufacturer did not attempt to distribute the weights somehow. Image putting popcorn kernels in a fabric large sack, and then expecting the sack to keep you warm. It won't work.So then I tried to use it in my bed. The problem with that is that it is not the right size for a bed cover, it is mostly geared for use as a throw. I tried it anyway and you guessed it --all the beads ran off the center of my body and onto either side of my body. All that was left to cover me again was the fabric cover. As I repositioned through the night, I had to become literally wake up to readjust the blanket as it is so heavy that you lift it evenly with just a leg.Overall, I would not recommend this product. The only reason that I gave it 1 star is because the fabric cover is a good quality fabric.

I’ve researched and contemplated investing in a weighted blanket for several years. As a long time anxiety sufferer which manifests in sleep disturbances, I finally took the risk. I love this blanket. It’s beautiful, and just the right size/weight distribution for me (5’3” 120 lbs). I’ve slept with it for about a week, and it’s drastically improved my overnight awakenings to none. I was worried it would be too hot, but I find leaving 1 foot uncovered is enough to balance the improved heat retention. The beads do shift but it isn’t so heavy you can’t redistribute before snuggling up for the night. At the cost comparison to what I would’ve spent on a smaller blanket that was aesthetically lacking, this blanket is a great deal. I’ve contemplated what the 20 lb blanket would’ve added over the 15 lb, but I’m sleeping soundly and not fighting to roll over so will likely leave those questions unanswered. I would absolutely buy again.

It usually takes me 30 minutes to fall sleep, but I put the blanket on and I feel safe and relaxed, I don't know when I fall asleep, maybe in 5 or 10 minutes. It makes me sleep like a baby.If you have insomnia or anxiety, I highly recommend this blanket.

Extremely heavy! I ordered the 20 lb blanket as it said to, and I could not move under it. This item definitely is not for this 75 yr. old woman. To make matters worse, they do not cover return shipping!

Was looking to buy the Gravity Blanket because I saw it on Facebook & KickStarter. I read their reviews and most were bad (some downright awful) - then one said “buy the BlanQuil because it’s cheaper and just as good.” I hadn’t heard of BlanQuil before, so I did an Amazon search and saw it was essentially the same description and less money. Bought it for my wife and she absolutely loves it!!! She falls alseep right away (which was an issue) and stays sleeping most of the night. Thank you BlanQuil - promote this better for others to see!

I have been reading about these weighted blankets and thought I would try. I've heard they were hard to get and expensive. I have anxiety and get a little stressed. The BlanQuil delivered within a week and I couldn't wait to try it. After a week I am in "Love" with this product. I bought grey and the 20lbs is perfect to keep me snug. What is most amazing is it works. I feel completely relaxed while laying down watching TV I even use it to Sleep. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering a Weighted Blanket.

This is not my first experience with a weighted blanket. I bought one last year, because I've recently had trouble sleeping, and I was greatly disappointed. A year later, I decided to give it another try with the BlanQuil, and I'm extremely happy I did. The cover is very soft, and the weighted material doesn't shift, so the weighting stays even across the blanket. The blanket was also surprisingly breathable; I did not wake up in the middle of the night, which I normally do, in a pool of sweat (gross). Not that this matters much, but the taupe color is also very nice, and matches well with any earthy or grey color schemes. All in all, I'm very happy I decided to give BlanQuil a try, as I have already seen benefits in my sleep and next-day functioning.

Best nights sleep I have ever gotten. I am a very light sleeper and tend to toss and turn all night. I have had sleep anxiety since I was a child due to nightmares. This was a great investment for me. I sleep great! The blanket is very high quality and so soft! You can also remove the cover to making washing easy! Absolutely would recommend this product to anybody!
