For what we use them for, these work pretty well. We don’t use them for music or to talk on the phone. We really only got them to talk to each other (rider and passenger. Haven’t tried them bike to bike).They work well at lower speeds, but it’s pretty hard to hear at higher speeds (over 55/60 mph). Over 60 mph, as a passenger I could hear the driver, but he couldn’t hear me.Battery life is pretty good.

I ride a Harley Heritage Softail with aftermarket pipes. Using this as an intercom, communication with my passenger is difficult even at full volume - and at full volume this system is loud. System is almost drowned out by the pipes. It was easy to install.

This is and older product that does not work. I repeat very bad noise when using. They have no noise cancellation therefore are not usable.

Needed a system to communicate with pillion passenger on rides, and I was told in the past not to bother with expensive radio systems which didn't work well. Technology has moved on, and Bluetooth, though limited in range, is ideal. With an iPhone, the system works well as intercom, phone, plays music , and provides TomTom Navigation from my phone, without trailing wires.You can pay more for a version with fm receiver.It is loud enough at moderate speeds even through ear plugs. Best to have a newer helmet with generic speaker spaces - though I am still managing with a bit of a botch up in an older helmet. A brief press of the toggle switch on the outside of the helmet switches functions.This is a very neat system. Some systems have ear buds, but no use for me, since don't block bike noise, and ear irritation, so I prefer these mini speakers which stick to helmet interior. Quite easy to install, especially with appropriate helmets designed to take speakers in padding (most newer helmets).Update 4 years on - having a lot of trouble using it now. Unless I use it frequently (which I dont) , I forget how to get communication/phone/music working. Quick start guide is just about incomprehensible. Sometimes phone rings, sometimes music plays, sometimes I get the intercom. Can no longer figure out how it works.

My son wanted to do a scooter safari of Ibiza. He got his CBT, we rented scooters, and by using this intercom we were able to chat effortlessly while riding. Great way to learn and much safer. High quality kit. Bluetooth range impressive, but will cut out if over 300m away. Cuts out slowly, like analog phones used to, so easy to get back in range. Now interested in hooking up to ski helmet!

These are easy enough to fit, but the volume is too low to hear anything at any speed above 50mph. I found the switches a bit fiddly too whilst travelling, especially when you have the volume ramped up because you are travelling on a dual carriageway and then it scares the bejesus out of you when it goes off at 40mph on a minor road. Not quite right for my use, in fact haven't even taken the second one out of the box.

The shared phone call option I miss from more expansive models, but apart from that this works well. Expect 2-300 m as a reliable range (On country roads) any more and you start getting some crackle. The jog button is very sensative if you are joined in an intercom call, you can hang up very easilt, but rejoining is just a case of hitting the jog button again. I have only used this with two riders and not tried more or the universal intercom capability yet.

Fairly easy to install and once paired to phone it's great. I have even accepted a call on my bike and I could her the caller clearly. Radio works well with pillion . Just a short lag from pressin lg the button to talk but distance talking was great. I was in the garage paying for fuel and my wife was outside and could talk clearly.
