I've now purchased 7 of these at different times since last summer. I use them in winter sure enough, however, I also use them in Spring and Summer to deter deer and rabbits from my new landscape shrubs and flowers including my hostas, Peony bushes, and new hydrangeas. These come in different sizes and with stakes included but I don't always use the stakes unless it's windy. I cover the plants that the deer prefer to eat in spring and summer with these little tents every evening. Upper Michigan here.

We bought a Gardenia 2 years ago, even though we knew it would be marginal at surviving our cold winters. The first winter (with no cover on it) most of the leaves turned brown with wind/cold burn and growth was clearly stunted. This winter, we bought this product and kept it on the shrub from October through March. I took it off a few days ago and was ecstatic to see it worked perfectly! The leaves are healthy and green, no loss of growth, and I can see it is already growing with the warming Spring weather. And we had a much colder winter, with about a foot of snow on the ground for the entire month of February. As can be seen in the pictures, this is a very generous sized cover (we bought the largest version I think) and will last at least another season or two of growth. Anyone who has smelled the aroma of Gardenia knows why we wanted to try planting one, and we are thankful that this quality product did a great job helping ours survive the winter happy and healthy!

We have used them for 2 years now and they worked great to keep the frost off of our hydrangeas. Very sturdy. I would recommend this product.

Used these on my roses last winter. We live in Michigan and had several feet of snow around the roses. Just removed them yesterday and the plants look good. They worked very well....easy to use, remove, and store. My only complaint is that they come with plastic pegs to attach the corner loops to the ground. One broke when we put it in and another broke when we removed it. We'll just buy some tent stakes to replace the broken ones.

I really liked how easy these domed frost tents went over my young in-ground Dynamite Crepe Mirtle Trees. I'm taking a chance planting them in Zone 5-6 and trying to protect them from this winter. In hoping the domes don't blow away, I staked all 4 corners.

Very sturdy and the pegs ensure they don't blow away. Snow slides down the outside and the shrubs stay safe.We put ours up for the second season this winter and they appeared to be as good as new.But when you first open it, be careful because the springy poles are coiled up to fit inside the package and they will straighten out VERY suddenly and can hurt you or a bystander if you don't watch out. Word to the wise.We bought an additional one this year.

We use these to cover large outdoor terracotta pots (which are also covered in plastic) so that we can leave them outside for the winter. These covers make the pots look more attractive than they would with just the plastic covering alone.
