It lasted about 2 years before spontaneously or by weather, or unknown cause, ripped
I am not sure how many stars to give. I think most tarps last no more than 2 years exposed to the sun & the elements. They don't seem to be able to stand up to sun & UV. There should be some anti-UV coating you could paint on or they should be available thus coated. If you put these outside exposed to the sun, I think you can count on them getting damaged in 2 years. The one I had up as a shelter for my motor home, appeared with a big rip in the middle one day when I looked at it. I taped it back with gorilla tape, but it is no longer smooth. Very soon after putting it up little tiny white light dots appeared in the tarp, which I take to be tiny holes. This tarp had a long seam in it, which I taped over with gorilla tape early in its life, & that seam has not yet separated.

Fabric fine, grommets a joke
The seams could have been better. They leak a little bit. But the real problem with this tarp is the grommets. They are very flimsy. You can bend them with your fingers and they fall out. We bought grommets of much better quality and have been replacing them as needed. We would have sent the tarp back but it is 30 x 40 feet and it was impossible to fold it up small enough (it weighs 70 pounds) to send it back. The fabric of the tarp is fine, very heavy duty.

Put it on an open trailer for a winter storage cover (built a trash barrel dome inside bed) and it went on well and drew up nicely. I put the black side out as it ...
Much heavier than the cheap stuff, and not as heavy as the megabucks tarps. Put it on an open trailer for a winter storage cover (built a trash barrel dome inside bed) and it went on well and drew up nicely. I put the black side out as it is less visible than the silver - we'll see how it does in ice and snow. Weight hits the sweet spot of easy installation and apprent durability.

Definitely heavy duty compared to other tarps I have used
I ordered this tarp to cover my 18' pontoon boat for the winter. The winters are cold and extremely windy. I have not head any previous tarps make it without tearing. I'll update this in the spring when I know how this tarp held up.

A Real Heavy Duty Tarp.
This is a real heavy duty tarp. I installed this over my son's skateboard ramp to protect it from rain and snow and it is very effective. I did not have any problems with the grommets like some other reviewers, but I can see the grommets could be the weak link. I'll know better in a year how durable the tarp is in the long run, but so far so good.

HEAVY DUTY. 5 STAR QUALITY.
Heavy duty, thick. Like military grade, cover something on a semi-flatbed and tow it across the country, THICK. Great quality. Using this 25' x 15' cover for my 18.5' boat that has a pole platform. Perfect fit as it hangs off back and covers engine. Best quality!!!

Sturdy & strong Tarp
We used the tarp to carry holiday decorations(in cases) from 2nd floor to 1st floor on a rope & pulley system. We attached carabiners to the grommets which appear to be very strong & reliable.

It's a good quality tarp but it's not as advertised
It's a good quality tarp but it's not as advertised. It's advertised as 24 x 20 yet it is actually 23 x 19. Just state what size of the thing is instead of exaggerating or make it in the exact size that is advertised. It's really simple. I'm grateful that engineers don't have such a lame sense of measurement.
